I-quote ko lang ang isang kapatid na tsikoteer...with your kind indulgence, sir

Ginagamay ko pa kse yung '96 LXi ko and am experiencing these shift shocks right now...nakapagdrive kse ako ng 2004 Optra A/T and wala akong naramdamang ganito.

Is the 8-year engineering difference enough explanation or may problema yung civic ko? I got to acquire it from company thru bidding.

It's tranny, btw, has been "re-manufactured" from the plant just this year as explained by HONDA Shaw to me (P35K on their billing)

Yes, malakas talaga shift shock ng automatics na Honda Civic at City 90's model. Sa inis ko, binenta ko at nag manual ako.

I used to minimize (but not entirely eliminate) the shift shock anomaly by depressing the brake pedal while shifting the transmission (Park to Reverse/Park to Drive). I've driven other people's '96-'99 Civic VTi's (and LXi's) and the shift shock is always there.

I now drive a 2004 Altis E and there is hardly any shift shock. Perhaps its due to better engineering. Also true for my brother in law's 2003 CR-V, no shift shock at all.
