    A/T po ang oto ko....

    Di ko alam kng tama yung term na engine break..hehehe...anyway eto po yung nangyayari sa akin...

    First po

    matagal ko ng napapansin to eh...di ko alam kng normal lng o hindi..may times kc na pag nag drive ako... tapos binitawan ko yung accelerator...pag yung rpm eh eh nasa 1000 na lang..bigla syang aangat ng 1300 - 1500 kahit di ko inaapakan yung accelerator then unti unting bababa.

    Second po

    May times na kapag binitiwan ko yung accelerator...habang tumatakbo yung oto at tinapakan ko ulet...parang nasa maling gear sya..kc parang pagtapak mo ulet...mag rev lang sya at parang di kumakagat dahil di naman sya mag accelerate......Salamat po sa replys...

    Sounds normal to me.

    In your first situation, the A/T shifts to a lower gear to avoid stall, hence tataas ang RPM. Think of it as the A/T version of the engine brake. Same thing happens sa manual if you shift from 3rd to 2nd.

    Second, minsan talaga sablay, mag-iisip siya kung ibababa niya or i-retain niya sa current gear depending on several parameters (though I don't know which). I think it's better with the later INVECS II, and the sports mode where you can control gear shift.

    1) increase in the idle may be normal... as wildthing mentioned.. the car is merely compensating for the drop in RPM.

    2) It MAY NOT BE NORMAL.. when was the last time you had your A/T fluid flushed and replaced?. how bout your A/T filter?..

    mag rev lang sya at parang di kumakagat dahil di naman sya mag accelerate
    this may be a sign of flaring of your tranny.. happens to quite a lot of old, maybe abuse auto trannies... if this starts to happen.. and if it is flaring that is really happening in your tranny.. soon it will break down and will cost you an overhaul. If you havent replaced your tranny fluid for quite awhile, (for some cars the recommended I think is about 25,000 km intervals... ) please do so, before the gears or the gearset breaks down...

    not sure nga pala kung may adjustment screw or something ang pizza pie lancer.. havent seen a tranny of a lancer up close. If it does.. you can probably adjust that for now.. but dont forget to replace your fluid.. ehehhe

    sir hboy thanks po...i think napalitan po to ng A/T filter and fluid last july lang...sana naman wag i overhaul ang transmission medyo laking damage po nun sa bulsa.....hehhee...anyway worst case po...magkano ang overhaul? how about palit ng M/T mas mura ba or mas ok ba?

    Sir added info...di ko sya nararanasan kapag nakapatay ang aircon ko...malakas ang hatak at pasok lagi yung gears..may relation kaya...

    plus 1 problem:

    nga pla po pag nakaaircon po..humihina yung hatak ng kotse ko...halos 1/4 na apak ko sa pedal...saka lang sya mag accelerate...parang hirap po yng makina...ano po kaya ang dapat kong gawin..para lumakas ang hatak nito? bagong palit po yung filter ko..thanks po ulit!

    Malaki talaga ang diperensya ng may aircon at wala. Load din yan sa makina. Pero pa-check mo rin kung malaki talaga.

    OT: may similar thread sa kabila nito pero under a different user. Are you related?

    di ko sya nararanasan kapag nakapatay ang aircon ko...malakas ang hatak at pasok lagi yung gears..may relation kaya...
    you may just have a tired tranny already... hehehe.. just kidding... malaki rin ang load factor ng naka-AC talaga.. but i would recommend having the tranny checked. i dont really know much about the tranny of a lancer.. but in my car.. i have this thing that is called a Transmission modulator.. it actually changes or adjusts the shifting pattern of the transmission.. from soft shifting to hard shifting.. if flaring starts to happen, you just have to adjust it to a harsher shifting and the flaring will be gone. In principle this is only a PANSAMANTAGAL na workaround...in your tranny still lies the problem.

    Dati ba nde ganun ang shifting nya?. when did this start??/

    Aircon, power steering and alternator contributes to the decrease in power of the engine. A/T transmission usually has a delayed response because of the engines auto shift/relay of gears.
    The problem sometimes with A/T is that it selects the right gear for you when it is not. That's why Manual is still the best for people who wants instant response of power. Traffic wise, A/T is still the best!

    eh sir..how about conversion to manual ?? meron na po bang nakatry? mga how much po magagastos?

    You will have a hard time if you want to convert from A/T to M/T. The costs would be unreasonable if you just want to have a better tranny. I'd suggest you sell your present ride and buy a ride with M/T na. But as Mikaztro said, the best pa rin ang A/T sa manila traffic. Likewise kung nailulusong mo sa baha ride mo, check mo agad baka pinapasok ng tubig ang tranny mo. Tranny fluid and water don't mix.

    if nalulusong talaga sa baha..i would really suggest that you have your fluid checked. Mababa kasi ang A/T dipstick ng mga jap cars.. and they can easily be compromised. If water has logged in your transmission, it may be the culprit...

    get it checked na lang muna from your suking talyer (preferably talga yung marunong sa transmission)... if not.. flush the fluid, and replace.. including the tranny filter....

    as for the MT vs AT.. well. they both have pros and cons.. unfortunately.. water fording is part of the cons ng AT.. unless SUV or Offroader ang sasakyan mo.. which is not....

    Similar thing happened to a friend's lancer after 8 yrs, the A/T would not work at times. He had low miles on it but don't think he changed atf regularly. He had to have it overhauled- it was cheaper to source parts outside, like Atco.

    makikigulo na rin. a friend o mine(AT specialist) once said(4 years ago) na from the japanese vehicles here(toyota, mits, honda & nissan), mitsubishi ang para sa kanya ang problematic sa A/T(angel, your case maybe isolated). opinion nya lang po ito based sa mga nagagawa nila kasi gusto ko bumili ng A/T vehicle noon. any comments?
