    hi,

Bring it to the transmission shop something inside that isnt right. A worn bearing or some other parts. Have it fix before you stranded somewhere.

Worn Main bearing or Pivot ball yan.

    might be the release bearing.

if it is indeed the release bearing and your going to replace it, allot additional money for some other parts that may need replacement (like the clutch disc) once the clutch aasembly is inspected.

    Hi,

I got the chance to have my brother in law depress the clutch pedal while I am in front of my open hood.

This is certain that the typewriter like sound that I am hearing comes from the transmission side and not the engine rocker arms.

The sound is slight when you are in the cabin, but very audible with an open hood.

Is my tranny due for replacement, or is it just me clutch set (bearing, plate, and disc)?

Jack up your car, start the engine (idle) and have somebody go under the car then watch carefully if your exhuast system (all the way to tail pipe) causing the vibration or rattlle. So check thoroughly including motor and tranny mount.

Kung hindi doon ang problema, Im pretty much sure na throw out bearing nayan ang problema mo. Actually the bearing should last a life time of your clutch but abusing it can wear it early. Abuse means sitting in stop lights in gear w/ clutch depressed o kaya naka pressed ang clutch in gear kapag downhill.... those are no no. The right way---neutral then brake. Make sure to have the flywheel resurfaced kapag pinagawa mo.

Pag pinagawa mo ito replaced na lahat...clutch, pilot bearing and throw out bearing. Again, dont forget the flywheel resurfaced if not, babalik ka uli doon in six month.

I engage in engine braking before kahit patag.

Is it really necessary to have the flywheel re-surfaced?

Rule of thumb...anytime na nagpapalit ka ng clutch always turned the flywheel invoved ito w/ some other parts rubbing up againts it. Like your brake rotor...kapag palit ng disc brake usually liniliha muna to make it clean and smooth or resurface din pag may tagas ng kunti. Resurfacing the clutch is the economical way to do bago palitan ang clutch, kung may malaking budget replace the flywheel is the best.

Changing clutch is a big job and expensive. Do it the first time is a must. You know, MONEY and ECONOMICLY wise...

i am just isolating, could it be also the engine support? i have an 8 year old car, and i can already feel some vibrations inside the car while idling. although the supports do not have cracks physically, i think it has already reached its end of life.

    dami gastos...

if there are no problem with exhust pipe, the presure plate finger and release bearing are hitting each other, suppose in neutral there are seperated by a gap, but since there worn out a play on mechanical comes to hit, or it might be the pork lever that holds the release bearing assembly is worn out...
