    OK lang po ba kung naka-fix na yung clutch fun ng radiator? Sabi kasi ng mekaniko, para daw mas sufficient yung hangin na dadaan sa radiator para ma-cool down ng husto yung tubig/coolant. Pls advise kung ano yung mga pros and cons. salamat...

    i agree with roydok. pag malamig ang makina ang fanblade mabagal o hindi sabay sa ikot ng makina. ito ay dahil upang maabot agad ng makina ang operating temperature niya. pag uminit na ang makina ito na ang panahon na sumasabay ang fanblade sa pagikot nito. pag malamig ang makina hindi mo ito maihahataw dahil walang ibibigay ito.

    i don't buy that idea. gusto ba niyang palabasin na mali yung mga designer ng mga kotse. iikot lang dapat ang fan kapag nag-circulate ang coolant dahil yung coolant na dumaan sa engine ay mainit so kailangan palamigan. kapag shut-off ang thermostat valve hindi mag-circulate ang coolant so no need na umikot yung fan dahil wala namang coolant na kilangan palamigin.

    also, come to think of it kapag ikot lang ng ikot yan... mas madali masira I would guess.

    Yup, it's true na mas madaming hangin ang papasok pag-fix siya and this will cool more your engine. But remember the purpose of the clutch fan which is to regulate and maintain optimum engine temp by regulating the fan speed. The optimum temp assure you of maximum engine efficiency. Below this temp as resulting from fixing the fan it may result to an increase in fuel consumption.

    Tama sila, cold is not really the optimum temperature for an engine. You will have worse emissions, less power and worse fuel economy.

    When your fan slows down enough to overheat your engine, chance are you need to refill it with silicone oil already. This is done through the hub of the fan and is considered a routine procedure in most shops.

    Also, kapag lumusong ka sa baha with a welded fan at inabot ng tubig ang fan mo, it can literally suck itself into the radiator (laking $$$ mo niyan) or it can break its blades off (laking $$$ na naman).
