We own a Mitsu Strada and it's time to have the clutch replaced. Thanks.

well pagdating sa clutch assembly, I always go for the genuine parts, mahirap din kasing baklasin ang buong clutch assembly kung hindi maging maganda ang performance nung replacement parts. last month lang pinapalitan ko ng clutch assembly yung corolla ng utol ko at ganito nga rin ang sabi nung trusted mechanic ko. Also mahirap nang magbayad ulit for labor costs

oem parts are manufactured not by the car company itself, suppliers din gumagawa nyan. the only difference is the packaging. so if japan made ang car mo at made in japan din naman ang replacement parts, imho pareho din yan sa oem. just beware of fakes made in taiwan.

ask the store you are buying from, tanong mo kung meron silang orig, japan, taiwan saka magandang replacement, kung wala wala silang mapagkumparahan wag kang bumili dun. sasabihin lang sa iyo na japan yung binibenta nila, which may be not...

yup, korek ka dyan rod! pag sinabi sa iyo na japan lahat tinda nila, malamang fake yun. good auto parts store will give you a choice between made in japan, korea and taiwan parts. they will even explain to you how to spot the fake taiwan in fake oem packaging.

You can always go with reputable brands like Exedy of Japan. OEM supplier din sila.

just had our L300 clutch replaced.

We usually try to stick to OE Mbut if its a brand like Exedy, its OK. I also tried the ASCO brand (Japan) in our Corolla and it seems to be working quite well and a visual inspection will show that its quality is good IMO.
