My old 94 Mazda 323 LX's park brake indicator lights up kapag low ang brake/clutch fluid. Same din kapag busted ang brake lights.

check mo ung cap. kung may lead wires, then may sensor. if not, no sensor. sa 97 EK ko, brake lang may sensor. ung clutch wala.

I don't know of a vehicle with a clutch fluid sensor. The handbrake indicator does light up if you have low brake fluid which could either be due to worn brake pads or a leak. In any case, the warning will usually come too late or at the worst possible moment (e.g. in the middle of nowhere).

So it pays to regularly check under the hood.

yup, as an owner and operator of a vehicle, you should develop this habbit. dont rely on the sensors. minsan kahit na walang sira, ung mga sensors mismo ang mag loloko.

Yesterday, my clutch operating (slave) cylinder sprung a leak. I could not drive my vehicle, it had to be towed home. The clutch pedal just became limp. I had no way of anticipating this even if I regularly do underhood checks and vehicle walkarounds.

So it also pays to be prepared. I always have basic recovery gear in all the vehicles I drive (heavy duty to strap, warning devices, gloves, etc.). I just had to find a rig to tow me home (I did).

P.S. I had the slave assembly replaced this morning Php750 for the part + Php400 for the labor (home service).

thanks for all the inputs Sirs. highly appreciated po! its been my habbit to check underhood parts, lalo na po sa brake...palagi po puno yung container ng brake and clutch fluid ko.

in addition, i got an idea sa sinabi din ni slip-slick, don't just rely on sensors. i have to ensure functionality. pa check ko din sa mechanic/electrician ko kung good condition pa.

again, thanks po sa lahat ng nag respond.

    cheers,
