Primary suspect was the clutch cable, so what I did was turned off the engine and put it in 1st gear and started the engine (medyo lunging forward nga ang nangyari). Now my question is, what are the usual suspects kung bakit napuputol or nadadamage ang clutch cable? One explanation na ibinigay sa akin was that nadisconnect ang ground ng kotse ko, kaya dun dumaan ang current, which caused the clutch cable to be frayed. Is this person pulling my leg?

Oh my! I cant stop laughing when Im reading your post specially the one who give you an answer. Naputol dahil sa ground....:chop: ha ha ha ha ah! Well bro that is the problem of original clutch cable they are very thin compare to after market. Remove and replace the original and compare the diff. of there thickness.

nag pa welding ka ba?? I had an experience before na nasira yung hand brake cable after nag welding (arc welder) eventhough battery ground is removed... possible talaga yung sinasabi ng mechanic sayo.. but that would be an instant and most of the time magiging hard muna yung operation ng clutch mo (sticky) bago sya maputol... pero kung naputol lang yung pinaka cable like it was snapped possible na cause nyan is yung normal wear and tear nung part.. especially moving part yung under load (clutch load)

as i have said possible talaga masira yung cables due to strong current flow especially pag nag welding sa auto mo using ARC welders.. but kung caused ng high current, magiging sticky muna yung operation ng cable and due to this mas madali sya mag snap.. but kung last year pa eh i assure you na hindi yun ang naging cause... your clutch cable snapped due to wear and tear and moving part pa yan.. just take note of the mileage and year of the car when it was snapped so you can expect it in the near future..
