Ginagamay ko pa kse yung '96 LXi ko and am experiencing these shift shocks right now...nakapagdrive kse ako ng 2004 Optra A/T and wala akong naramdamang ganito.

Is the 8-year engineering difference enough explanation or may problema yung civic ko? I got to acquire it from company thru bidding.

It's tranny, btw, has been "re-manufactured" from the plant just this year as explained by HONDA Shaw to me (P35K on their billing)
