i just had my transmission oil changed at a caltex station din. ok naman pero speaking from experience di din universal yung quality of service ng mga stations, if its good in one it may be bad in another.

November 4th, 2005 08:24 AM #9yup, kinda sluggish yung tranny with the thicker oil. we only use the 75w90 on our customers that like to race/go to the track. that way, better yung heat protection and less prone to crunching yung tranny.

November 5th, 2005 11:57 AM #10thanks again guys. i used 20w50. caltex havoline.
thing is, changing transmission oil does not have any seat of the pants improvement feeling. pareho lang before and after changing transmission oil. unlike other services i do, parang may pagbabago. kahit nga underchassis cleaning pagkatapos parang gumanda takbo ng kotse ko e. (or change engine oil, parang lumalamig lalo aircon ko heheh - syempre subjective lang to.) pero sa transmission oil change, pareho pa din
