Inline transmission filter / seperate transmission filter for honda atf

Maghahanap daw ako filter head surplus.

Pero kung wala talaga order na lang online.

Finally installed the DIY inline ATF filter of my Corolla GLi BaBy last friday. Used a Korean made fuel pump filter head with M20 x 1.5 thread, nahingi ko sa car repair shop near my place. Bought a filter that matched the gasket face ng filter head, B173-S Baldwin spin on lube filter, 2 pcs - 5/16" x 36" rubber fuel hose, 2 pcs - hose clamps and 2 pcs - mounting bolts, 3/8" x 1".

Installed the filter sa harap ng aircon condenser, katapat ng radiator fan where I have space for changing the filter, madudukot sa ilalim ng bumper, no need to remove the front grill. Maluwag naman ang hose route, from radiator fluid cooler outlet to filter inlet at filter outlet to tranny fluid sump inlet, just added half a liter ATF that increases the quantity to almost 8 liters and it also helps cool down the fluid temp kasi nadadaanan ang filter ng cold air sucked by the radiator fan. All in, nagastos ko ay almost Php500 lang, ang return naman ay healthy tranny at extended FCI from regular 30k to maybe 45k kms.

Di ba bumaba ang oil pressure? I also have a lovelife that the tranny is starting to have problems in reverese.

I just inserted the spin on full flow filter sa ATF return hose from oil cooler to tranny sump. I don't think it will alter the fluid pressure, sa loob ng tranny yata located ang pump that circulate the fluid.

For your tranny, I recommend you fully replace the ATF kung dirty na din lang, baka dahilan ng shifting problem sa reverse. DIY full replacement is very easy.
