Walkie Talkies & Car Alarms

just saw it on the tube last night.


walkie talkies and car alarms don't go well, which is favorable to car thieves.
as demonstrated (auto motor und sport; net25, 8pm), a man actually reporter for the show just stand near the car with the owner trying to lock the car via remote have difficulty locking the door.

so tip lang po, always double check your car doors before walking away.

also, parang may mga areas na hindi nagfa-function ang remote ng alarms. sa parking ng sm pampanga, dun sa malapit sa 7-11, ayaw maglock ng doors ko using the remote. at first akala ko nasira na, pero pag lipat ko sa robinson's gumagana naman. then bumalik ako sa sm, ayaw na naman.

yap, pag may antena ng radio sa bobong ang tendency talaga ay hindi gagana ang remote ng auto.

I had this experience sa may area ng albergus in QC na hindi nagwowork yung alarm ng car ko. Is it because malapit cya sa broadcast city? kahit hanggang sa may corner ng capitol drive and tandang sora di pa din gumagana yung alarm ng car ko. Share ko lang

same here... I experienced the same problem when I often park in Ortigas Center near the radio stations before... philcomsen, strata buildings...

ito rin experience ko pag malapit sa radio antenna.. sa toyota makati mahirap din..

pag ganito nangyari.. manual arm at dis-arm na lang.. hassle nga lan..

ako naman pag pumaparada sa may abs-cbn, laging nag-aalarm mag-isa yung car ko kahit walang maingay na dumadaan. must be the frequencies from the station.

OT: aba! dream come true! nag audition na si fafa miko! :D

back to the topic. nung nasa abs-cbn ako, oks naman ang remote lock ko (both the OEM carlock & aftermarket alarm). kahit sa labas ng building (near the tower) or sa underground carpark.

siguro sa frequency na ginagamit...

very very true. early in my career, i had to park out in the open and my alarm seems to be swamped by all the transmitters in ortigas.

so ano ginagawa niyo?manual lock nalang?hindi na ginagamit ang alarm?

naka disengage kasi alarm ko for 2 years na eh..kaya diko alam yan..herherher

naka passive arming naman yung alarm namin.. so hintay ng 30 seconds at mag auto arm na..

to disarm, susi sa pinto.. mag-skandalo yung oto tapos lagay ng susi sa ignition then flip the hard to reach secret switch sa ilalim ng dashboard para i-disable alarm..
