I DON'T THINK SO!

may nakalagay na notice dun sa mga toll booths ( seen it at balintawak, mindanao and dau) and also sa sctex na pag class 1 may top load and exceeding 7 feet class 2 na nga. forgot when it will come into effect, either end of this month or next. or umpisa na? so siguro kaya ni-override nila kasi di pa effective.

If not happy with it dun tayo sa public roads, at least kotong cops lang mag aabang to fine you with overloading.

It's a bit unfair to those who carry light top loads such as bikes, on their SUVs or pick-ups (so it's back to rear mounted racks for most). I hope they can still over ride it for those kinds of items.

Looks like i won't be using my Thule roof box on our tall cars anymore.

It's within the seven feet rule. The Limo variant either is or isn't, depending on who you ask. I've never gotten charged extra for it, but some of my colleagues who drive up north have.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I don't mind paying but I don't see the justification for the increased fees if you have a bike on top of your vehicle. How much extra wear and tear will it actually place on the road? The reason one pays the toll fee is for the maintenance and upkeep of the road plus some profit for the operator.

Sure its their road but when they are starting to charge people unfairly, someone is bound to complain.

Parang UST lang iyan. They charge people normal rates when cars cannot get out of the parking lot during floods (even if the owners want to leave already). Ayun, na-diyaryo at pinag refund after much pressure from the local community. Now, if your car cannot get out of the parking due to floods, they will change the charging scheme.

Sometimes it pays to speak up against private enterprise. People who pull tandem axle trailers or load their roof racks to capacity won't mind paying. But cyclists who just happened to put their bike on the roof of a Corolla will feel stung by the new scheme.

2 ways to beat the system.
