    700 MMDA traffic enforcers face early retirement

    The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has offered 700 of its personnel early retirement packages after realizing that almost half of its traffic enforcers are incompetent.

    " 'Yun iba...metro aide 'yan...'biting the red light' ang spelling (Others spell beating the red light as 'biting the red light')," said MMDA executive director Angelito Vergel de Dios. He added that some of those being offered early retirement are already past their prime.

    The MMDA said the early retirement is its way of weeding out enforcers who not does not have any training on road management, but also do not know how to drive and spelling simple traffic violations.

    Years back they've hired college level/grads...yeah,it would be better to retire those old MMDA traffic officers...

    magkano lang ba sweldo ng MMDA traffic enforcer?

    Kung gusto ng MMDA ng marunong mag spelling, taasan nila ang sweldo

    kasing taas ng call center agent hehe

    Ang mga mag aaply sa MMDA di lang marunong mag spelling... magaling pa mag english

    i know someone who works as an mmda traffic enforcer before. maliit talaga ang sweldo. sa kotong daw bumabawi yun iba lalo na yun mga colorum na sasakyan. pero sabi nya wala daw naman talaga ginagawa eh, maghapon ka lang nakapwesto sa lansangan.

    Kapag ba sinulat nila sa ticket na "Biting the red light", pwede ko i-contest at sabihin na hindi ko naman kinakagat ang traffic light?

    Kawawa rin ang mga taong ito.... Hindi sila magiging epektibo sa kanilang trabaho kapag hindi sila binibigyan ng karampatang training.... Nagawa naman kaya ito ng MMDA?

    This reminds me of what I saw on Noypi, an ABS-CBN show hosted by Gabe Mercado. Mismo yung traffic-law enforcer hindi alam ang mga road signs. Would you imagine ang alam nya sa NO ENTRY na sign, eh drive straight?
    Naku po! Naging comedy nga ang enforcer na yun kasi yung kabaligtaran ang alam nya.

    Para may college graduate na mag-apply na MMDA eh gawin nilang 30 thou a month sweldo.

    Tapos dapat may libreng sunblock na ang SPF eh 70.

    Sigurado pag nanghuli yan hindi na tatangap ng lagay.
