This will have an effect to our economy when backlogged shipments start to pile up in the port of Manila... They should have given it more thought to the ban.
i pass UN avenue in the daytime, and i do want to see these container vans out for good.
personally, i do not see why it won't work.
maglagay ng tao sa warehouse pag gabi! for all we know, meron naman talaga, e. masquerading as security..
shift your pier from manila to elsewhere, like subic or batangas, or poro point. it can be done. unless, your bribed customs men are here and you wouldn't want to stretch your luck too much...
political suicide? it might just elevate erap and isko into superstar status..
actually, much of this resentment against container vans might have been avoided, if only their drivers practised good manners and right conduct. as it is, akala mo mga hinete na kabubukas lang ng gate... at sinasadyang barahin ang intersection..
and the 5K fine is too small. mas malaki ang tardiness fine.. quadruple it at least. make it painful to be caught.

sa bangkok may truck ban din within the city. light trucks lang pwede kaya usong uso yung mga single cab pick ups sa bangkok.
that means i won't have to worry about getting anywhere near a fast moving semi truck during the first few hours of the day. i can imagine how many of them will try to meet their schedule after that period. the need for speed, going live at 3pm!
yes, there are better solutions, but get real. plenty more 'clever' stuff to come from erap&isko
up ko lang tong thread..
just wanna know your thoughts about this issue, well sang ayon ako sa ginawa ni erap na to,mas lumuwag talaga ang pier, pabor sa mga dumadaan sa pier from camanava and even sa mga taga manila, less traffic talaga.wala naman akong nakikitang masama sa pag biyahe sa madaling araw ng mga trucks, kailangan nga lang talaga ng konting adjustments ng ibang companies din.pero sa tingin ko mas makabubuti to sa nakararami.
sempre this will affect a lot of product coming from manila port, in the end sino ba sasalo nito, syempre tayong mga end consumer din.
pero tama naman yung habol nila erap, na ilipat ang bulk sa batanggas port for the north and subic port for the south. karamihan naman pala ng shipment eh palabas ng metro manila, bat nga naman sa traffic na metro manila ka pa dadaong, di pa doon sa malapit sa pagdadalhan mo.
aba ayos to, para lumuwag naman trapiko sa manila. gud work meyor president erap. mabuhay ka..![]()
Looking for dump truck/triaxel dump truck. Yung kaya po magkarga ng 20cubic pataas message nyo lang po ako for details thanks
Tama lang yan, since I'm assuming tiga Manila ka, alam mo naman Siguro yun traffic pag wala ng truck ban from qurino extension, UN, romoualdez plus roads their Have craters as big as cars. Dahil sa mga container trucks.

Baligtadin natin ang ipag bawal eh yung mga private veuicles... At sa sobrang dami it causes traffic na... Gabi lang natin pwede gamitin cars natin... Is it fair? Bet. 9pm to 4am... At dun ka mismo sa maynila nakatira...
Trucks lang ba talaga ang cause ng traffic? O mga sasakyan na walang disiplina?

Ever since Manila banned those trucks during morning double digit hours, SSHWAY is green and go.
Observe nyo.
No ban for truck loaded with cargo, but must run along specified road corridors. Ban applies to empty truck. Open hours for them is 10 am to 3 pm, also along specified truck routes.
Erap agrees to make adjustments in truck ban policy
February 26, 2014 8:29pm
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada has agreed to make adjustments in the newly implemented citywide daytime truck ban policy following a meeting with Interior Secretary Mar Roxas on Wednesday.
An exclusive report on “24 Oras” said Estrada agreed to be more lenient in the implementation of the truck ban following the meeting with Roxas and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista at the Manila City Hall.
“Free-flowing na for loaded trucks,” Estrada said in the report.
Under the proposed adjustment, trucks loaded with deliveries are exempted from the ban from Mondays to Saturdays as long as they use designated routes.
For trucks without cargo, there will be a window time where they could use Manila's roads from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays to Saturdays.
There will also be a designated lane along Roxas Blvd. for trucks, the report said.
The adjustments will be formalized in a new ordinance that the city council will pass.
Truck ban
The meeting occurred after trucker groups protested the truck ban policy by not rolling out on Monday. These groups argued that the ban will affect the production schedule of some factories in the country.
Under the contested policy, which began implementation on Monday, trucks are banned to ply the streets from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays. However, they are given a window period to travel from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Offenders will face a fine of P5,000, plus the towing of their trucks.
Roxas, meanwhile, was pleased with proposed adjustment.
“Well, actually maganda 'yung pag free-flowing dahil mas mabilis ang labas-pasok ng mga produkto at tsaka pati yung mga tsuper mismo makaka-two trips sila or kahit baka three trips pa. 'Di naman puwede na nasa traffic lang sila,” he said.
For his part, Bautista, who chairs the Metro Manila Council, gave Estrada a letter from the Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino.
In the letter, Tolentino expressed his support for the truck ban but asked Estrada to give it a 15-day testing period and make needed adjustments afterward. — Andrei Medina/KBK, GMA News
Mali yan, saw the interview of isko this morning. No load trucks 10-3 while loaded 10-5, nag extend lang sila ng 2 hours for loaded trucks.
No such thing as "free flowing" yun mga truckers lang nagsabi dahil Sabi daw ng MMDA.
