Hi everyone..

I'm turning 17 this Saturday, December 31 so that means I can apply for a non-pro license already. Question ko lang is if I can get my license earlier, siguro mga wednesday or thursday (Dec 28 or 29) since the LTO is closed on the holidays tapos medyo busy na ako the week after new year.

Papayag ba ang LTO na I get my license a few days earlier? (Legally, sana :D)

sa LTO Pasig kapitolyo kumuha instant non pro bigay sayo, temporary license, yung plastic id car, ibigay sayo sa date naka sulat sa temporary license.

ah, thanks. So pwede kumuha a few days before my birthday pero temporary lang? Yung plastic card kailangan ko pang balikan?

I don't think so as the LTO licensing system are computerized. Better get your license next week.

Here are my TIPS in getting a license:

1. DO NOT...err I mean N E V E R talk to anyone there that approaches you without an LTO ID on them. (There are usually twice the size of your average school ID.)

2. DO NOT E V E R DEAL WITH FIXERS!!!

3. DO follow the steps in getting your licence posted INSIDE the LTO Licensing Center. There are several in the Metro: inside the Coastal Mall in Pasay, Tayuman in Manila, LTO Head Office in East Ave., QC, and Capitolyo in Pasig.

3. I SUGGEST that you be there at 7am. If you are there early, you will finish early. (common sense na yun, heheh!)

Kaka 17 ko lang bro. I got my non pro last dec8. Tip ko sayo kumuha ka sa main office sa East Ave, QC. Dumating ako mga 7:30am tapos nakuha ko kagad liscense ko mga 2pm. (as in ung card na mismo, hindi ung paper lang na temporary)

Eto tips ko sayo.

1. LTO MAIN OFFICE IN EAST AVE ka kumuha.
- card na kagad non pro na binibigay nila, wala nang temporary na papel

2. Be there around 7AM
-7:30 ako dumating, naabutan ako ng lunchbreak nila. Kung 7am, makukuha mo before lunch. EAT HEAVY BREAKFAST, walang kainan sa compund.

3. Pag dating mo sa gate, sabihin mo sa guard na kukuha ka ng non pro. Idederect ka nya across the street sa mga drug testing lab. May mga nag a-assist dun sa gate, sasamahan ka nila. (take note, hindi sila mga fixer at hindi sila babayaran mo. sa lab ka mismo magbabayad) They will test your eyes at kukuhanan ka nila ng urine sample. This process will take around 15-30mins. Bayad ka ng 70 pesos.

4. Pag meron ka nang lab results, punta ka na dun sa liscense area ng LTO. Punta ka sa 1st window para maprocess na papers mo at makuha mo number mo. Nandun na nakapost instructions. Just be alert the next time your number is called.

-practical exam (40 pesos)
-cashier uli (250 pesos liscense fee)

Sa written exam, may reviewer. Yung mga tanong, galing sa reviewer so basahin mo ng maigi. 40pts yun, 30 passing (75%)

Sa practical exam, owner type jeep gagamitin mo. Jologs! Pawis steering, hirap mag shift ng gear tapos lubog pa mga pedal. Namatayan nga ko 1 time pero sabi ok lang until 3 times. Ipapaikot sayo sa compund yung jeep tapos reverse park dun sa original spot.

i renewed my license 2 weeks ago... got there 3pm, nakuha ko license (card na agad) at 4:30pm... walang akong nilapitan na kakilala o fixer ha.. hanep, ang bilis ngayon ng LTO... napabilib yata nila ako ngayon...

i suggest wednesday kayo magpunta.. usually kasi pinakakonti lang tao pag ganitong araw...

i want to get my wife a driver's license, but she drives only an automatic. she can't drive a stick. di ba pwede naman yung test drive niya sa kotse na lang namin na automatic?

and what are the requirements pala? birth cert?

Wow, you can get your licence sa isang araw! Over here it takes 2 years to get a full licence (1 written test, 1 eye test and 2 practical tests 1 year apart).

tip lang po.. punta ka sa main. east ave. 1 day processing lang, bring all the documents needed. tama sila beware of fake cards/or pixer .and secondly, 17 ka pa lang d ba? parang 18 ata requirements. hindi ako familiar sa age. but for sure, do the legal way....

and what are the requirements pala? birth cert? pag meron na sya student license yun na lang needed also, test, pictures.. etc....

Sabihin mo lang sa kanila na hindi ka marunong mag-drive ng manual. Hindi naman pahirapan masyado jan sa practical driving test. Hindi naman required na marunong ka ng manual.

Yung kapitbahay kong teenager hindi naman nag-drive test. Ang sabi lang daw sa kanya, sa mga professional license lang daw required yung actual driving test, since non-pro siya wala ng driving. Hindi rin siya nag-abot ng lagay or anything. Saka yung mga questionnaire daw nakasulat na yung sagot dun. Iba-iba siguro depende sa LTO branch.

According to the LTO website, 17 yung age requirement for non-pro, 18 for pro.

Affidavit of Loss lang and clearance at the LTO Main Office as far as I can remember. But I believe that you have to go all the way to East Ave to do that. Di na lang ako sure how it is today. Nawala kse licence ko 3 or 4 years ago. Try to check the LTO website na lang.

Actually, oo! hehehe!! Sobrang sama ng loob ko when the fixer took the money from me and TOOK OFF!! Bwiset talaga kse ilang weeks ko pinagipunan yung money then someone just took it!! Halos umiyak ako nun pag uwe ko that time. It happened 1996 in despair to get a DL so I can take the car to the prom. I ended up taking a cab. So ngayon, everytime i'm at LTO (or any place like that na maraming fixers) sobrang nag-susuplado ako. Doble ingat na din ako ngayon.

Yung kapitbahay kong teenager hindi naman nag-drive test. Ang sabi lang daw sa kanya, sa mga professional license lang daw required yung actual driving test, since non-pro siya wala ng driving. Hindi rin siya nag-abot ng lagay or anything. Saka yung mga questionnaire daw nakasulat na yung sagot dun. Iba-iba siguro depende sa LTO branch. dipende kasi sa mood ng LTO person, minsan nagpapansin sila para abutan mo, minsan naman galante, wla ng abot-abot ok na kagad

Nawala kse licence ko 3 or 4 years ago. Try to check the LTO website na lang. check nila sa pc nila kung andon pa. swerte pag andon pa sir. sana
