SCTEX Speeding Ticket

Ask ko lang since this is my first time to get a speeding ticket and my license taken. Is it a long process ba tubusin ng license sa LTO East Ave Q.C.? My 72 hours will expire this Friday, what's the best time to go over there and is there enough parking spaces? Pag kasi LTO offices walang maparadahan. Be careful nga pala driving over the speed limit sa SCTEX marami kaming naticketan today (Jan.7.2014) mostly SUVs. Appreciate other infos I need to know. Thank you guys in advance.

Your fine will be a little less than Php1,300.00. You have attend a half day seminar and some other stuff.

According to my bubuwit, you can make a "no appearance" for a little less than 3k.

Dami nga nahuli dyan. Kakagaling lang namin sa baguio, dyan kami dumaan to and fro.
Grabe, hihintayin ka sa tollgate. Minsan, in my point of view, nanghaharas haha.
Yung LC200 na nakapila hinuli, 2 tao naka abang haha.

Go early in the morning, like be one of the first in line at 8am. Ask the guards where the que is, which is actually an arrangement of plastic chairs under atent. Process takes half a day, which includes waiting for your name to be called, a seminar (watcing a video), a written exam, paying the fine, and then waiting for your license to be released.

if you go in the afternoon the guys who were late in the morning will be ahead of you, so there is a chance you might need to come back again the next day to finish the process. I was maybe #50 in the line when i went there at 1pm, and when i finished it was past 5pm. The guy after me was the last one served, the rest had to come again the next day.

I passed there last monday nga pala, north bound in the morning from clark andun sa ilalim ng flyover ng victoria exit yung radar pick up nila. I was doing 130kph but saw the pick up in time and i was able to brake and slow down to 110kph by the time i passed the spot. South bound later in the afternoon wala naman ako nakita.

Buti na lang hindi ako nadale last new year, di ko napansin naka 170KPH na pala ako.

I was ticketed for 127kph, hindi mo naman kc mapapansin talaga na you're over 100kph na naka CX5 pa naman kaya sarap iharurot. Anyway, a friend of mine told me na if you dont want to attend the seminar you just need to pay 15o pesos additional..tutuo ba ito? I think sa may Concepcion ako nahuli ng radar dun daw madalas tambayan ng patrol kaya slow down lang mga tsikoters sa mga overpass dun kc nakasilong. Tenks nga pala sa mga replies....

may bayad na ba ngayon sa TPLEX? dumaan ako ng Jan 4 wala pa naman...i've been driving 120-140kph sa sctex at tplex and so far medyo swerte pa naman ako na hindi matsambahan mahuli ng radar. sinubukan ko yung cruise control ng montero ko at steady 100kph max speed, pero after a few minutes inantok na ako. ang haba-habang highway at ang luwang naka-limit ka sa max 100kph, then bigla umovertake yung bus ng 5star, letse! that means mabilis pa sa 100 ang takbo? apak agad ako sa accelerator and enjoy the ride, deymn with the radar!

yup, yung exit after tarlac. Practice lang siguro, naghahanap ng magandang hiding place. Expected ko nga either concepcion or luisita so slow down na ako dun, then nung after paying toll before tarlac kaskas na ako ulit pero andun pala sa victoria., buti na lang nakita ko malayo pa.

Possible but it depends on the radar gun use too AFAIK. I think there are units that can already work accurately in low light environs.

It's not advisable to speed at night though.
