what caused everything is one of the orange barriers out of place and partly blocking the fast lane.
i'm also wondering why the patrol car and tow truck was so quick to respond. makes me wonder if it was planted on purpose.
That's the problem with SLEX. I almost had the same accident as yours. The barriers at SLEX sometimes were offset on the road and blocking partly the fast lanes.
Its very hard to drive specially during night at slex. You should be extra careful and give full focus on the road. There's not so much warning signs or reflective signs on the road.
Its very sad that you got involved on this accident.
i read your very informative account of the events which had transpired during your accident. your article at hypermileph was well written. thank God, no one died.
the tucson was a wreck.
was this tragic event mentioned in the primetime news?

Was the orange barrier (plastic I supposed) trying to warn the vehicles that something dangerous lies ahead? If it is just out of place, then the Fortuner should have just run over it and NOT STOP on the fast lane!
I don't want to speculate, but sudden stops because of potholes, bumps, misplaced plastic barriers and others will surely cause accident.
