July 21st, 2015 03:12 AM #11You got it, right, bulalo! Looked it up, and "highways" as defined under Art II, Section 3(j) of RA 4136 are:
(j) "Highways" shall mean every public thoroughfare, public boulevard, driveway, avenue, park, alley and callejon, but shall not include roadway upon grounds owned by private persons, colleges, universities, or other similar institutions.
So all public streets are "highways" and it is against the law to park on a public street in front of a private driveway (whether attended or unattended). It means legally puwede pa-tow kasi illegally parked?
I have experienced being unable to go in or out the gate because the vehicle parked in front of my driveway would not start (na-stall, namatayan ng baterya, etc). Kahit sabihin nilang "sandali lang" or "tawagin lang at lilipat ang kotse" na-lalate ako sa klase and meetings kasi ang tagal lumabas or naliligo, or kung saan pumunta sandali...."
Wala talagang konsiderasyon, tawagin ka pang madamot.
