Where's the link? I don't think that is feasible. I got my car end of JANUARY, it's already JULY and I still don't have my plates That's 6 months. How many new cars will be kept in the garage if that happens.

I wish we have a strong pro-consumer group that could challenge these stupid laws to the Supreme Court. How can you enforce a law when the actual implementing agency cannot produce/deliver the plates in time they are supposed to.

    WTF, Philippines!

this is stupidity at the highest order. mag boomerang sa LTO yan. kaya nga walang plate dahil kasalanan nila. tapos sa kasalanan nila, magmulta ang taong bayan? onli enda pilipins ito. upon registration, bayad sa plate at stickers. pero nagbayad ka ng wala, kasi walang available plate and stickers. dapat ibalik sa logistics school ang mga taga LTO, supply chain management pagtuunan ng pansin. wala bang research department sila para ma estimate man lang nila ang probability ng car sales sa bansa, tapos ready ng plates at stickers. nakaka HB.

Well if LTO can deliver the plates instantaneously then I am all for it. But if not, just like the stupid no plate accessories rule then curse LTO...

Police to be tapped in the implementation of “No Plate No Travel” ban - News - DILG

Police to be tapped in the implementation of “No Plate No Travel” ban
    March 23, 2015

The Philippine National Police is contemplating on deputizing its personnel for the strict implementation of the “no plate no travel” policy to further reduce motornapping incidents and crimes perpetrated by riding-in-tandem gangs in Metro Manila (MM).

During the weekly command conference in Camp Crame, PNP officials informed Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas of their plan to coordinate with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) regarding the proposal.

They informed Roxas that stolen motorcycles were mostly parked unattended in front of the victims’ houses and sold to unsuspecting buyers. The plates of these stolen vehicles are removed to make it difficult for authorities to be traced.

The PNP officials believe that deputizing police personnel to implement the “no plate no travel” policy will aid in the immediate arrest of motornappers.

During the meeting, PNP officials reported that motornapping incidents in the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) have shown a downward trend from the start of the implementation of Oplan Lambat-Sibat last year.

From June 16, 2014 to January 4, 2015, there were a total of 63 motornapping incidents reported in MM. The number continuously went down to 31 during the period March 9 to 15.

Roxas had ordered the implementation of Oplan Lambat-Sibat, a scientific means of combatting criminality through “programmatic, deliberate and sustainable” approach.

Roxas had expressed satisfaction over the result of the implementation of Oplan Lambat-Sibat - a 50 percent reduction in the rate of criminality in MM.

Oplan Lambat-Sibat is now being cascaded in the nearby provinces.#

Wow, scientific ha pero obvious sa report na hindi statistically and logically sound and pinagmamalaking reduction.

Anyways, bakit no plate pa din ang tawag nila? yung memo pertains to registration lang at hindi plates mismo.

looks like target nila ang motorcycles on this one. pero kanina lang na checkpoint ako, nasita lang na wala pa kong 2015 sticker. pakita lang ng or/cr with "no sticker available" stamp tsaka license solve na.

police didn't even bother asking who the hell was on the or/cr since its not my name. hehehe
