Swerving is not a traffic violation per se.
It is defined as a movement wherein vehicles shift from a lane to another. However, it can constitute the offense of reckless driving if it is done without precautions (e.g. swerving in an abrupt and careless manner, swerving without the use of signals, swerving across solid lines).
Swerving can also constitute the offense of Disregarding Traffic Signs if there are signs present that explicitly prohibit swerving in the area.
A driver's license cannot be confiscated by a Traffic Enforcer during traffic apprehensions for "swerving".

That's good. Is there a site or a file somewhere that actually lists down all the traffic rules and regulations as well as the possible violations and the appropriate sanction that goes with it?

Thanks! That's half. I printed this before and I keep a copy in the car so I can argue the penalties when the MMDA officer is trying to harass me. I was wondering if there was another page created by either the LTO or the MMDA that lists all the traffic rules and regulations too.
Now that you've mentioned it, do the traffic rules differ from city to city in the metropolis? It does seem that each city seems to want to enforce their own way of doing things.

^ That's why we should have laws that forbid these idiot LGUs wi coming up with their own traffic codes that serve nothing more than enforcing the kotong mentality, confuse motorists, and undermine the authority of the MMDa (although the way the MMDA has been going these past few years, a lot is left to be desired with how they are managing the Metro traffic).
On a side note, the picture of the Ranger on the poster reminds me of how a black Altis cut into my lane last night as he went out of a gas station along C5, while it was traffic. Walang menor menor and he just nosed in rudely with no signal. I'll bet the driver felt really good on how great a driver he thinks he is...Last edited by vinj; October 20th, 2013 at 12:12 AM.
