Ano ba ang dapat kong dalhin para renew ang car registration ko?

I know that I have to bring proof of insurance.

Kailangan ko ba dalhin yung original O.R. and last year's registration? Pwede bang xerox copy na lang?

Kailangan ko ba dalhin ang drivers license ko?

Ano pa kailangan?

Xerox copy of OR and CR would be enough. And TPL insurance, you can get it from offices near or inside the LTO office itself, or you can bring your own. 400-600 usually. Plus emission test results from an accredited testing center. There should be one nearby. 300 bucks. And the right amount of money for the reg fee for your vehicle. Tip for the stencil boy too.

You need your license just to drive the car to LTO. Otherwise, you don't have to present it.

kelangan ba kung san ka nagpa-register last year dun ka uli magpa-register? or pwede kahit saang lto branch? di ba computerized na sila?

Kahit saan pong LTO branch, may charge lang for change of venue, 100 pesos yata or so.

pwede ka magparegister at any LTO branch you like. pero baka matatagalan bago nila ma-release yung stickers mo. before kasi (pre-computerized LTO) they will have to confirm pa with the LTO branch where your car was previously registerered, this is done through snail mail. i don't know now na computerized na almost all LTO branches, wherein nakikita na nila agad ang details ng car mo by just entering the plate number.

yes pwede. actually, meron violation ang 'dilapidated plates', afaik.

depende yan kung gano ka ka-late pre. since last week lang naman ang dapat na due date mo, siguro malaki na 200 petot dyan.

depende kasi sa type of motor vehicle na ipareregister mo, tingnan mo na lang sa webpage ng lto na pinost ni nicolodeon

actually, meron violation ang 'dilapidated plates', afaik.

Violation 16B ng LTO: "Dirty or uncared for plates", carrying a fine of PhP150.

Technically, the plates belong to the government, not the car owner. So any sign of physical neglect on the license plate may be interpreted as damage to government property, IMO.

OT: Anyone here who got their driver's license from LTO Angono? Pahirapang makakuha ng ID dun. Temporary license pa rin dala ko hanggang ngayon, kasi super tagal nilang mag-issue ng card. Akala ko makukuha ko na nung February, pero wala pa daw at pinapabalik ako sa April. Lintek, makuha ko lang yang ID na yan, sa ibang branch na lang ako magre-renew.
