I answered both the English and Filipino versions early last year, and got in the high 90s. But I noticed some questions were either weird or wrong. So I repeated taking both to collect them. Among these are:

Category: Road Position
The necessary distance in between you and a vehicle you are following should be:
A. The same length as a full vehicle
B. The same length as 3 full vehicles
C. The same length as 2 full vehicles
Correct Answer: A. The same length as a full vehicle

My comment: Doesn't the distance between cars depend on speed? 1 car length at 20kph is fine. But that's dangerously close at 100kph. I usually follow a MINIMUM 2 second interval.

The safest speed of a vehicle is according to:
A. Capability of the vehicle
B. Road and weather conditions

My comment: Shouldn't it be "All of the above" or at least A and B?

My comment: Slowing down will cause the driver behind to lose momentum. Brake testing is dangerous. Shouldn't one just maintain speed?

My comment: "Push the brake"? Even in Tagalog this would sound weird. "Itulak ang preno"? Isn't it either "step on the brakes" or "apakan ang preno"? The Filipino version is better:

My comment: Sa bersyong Filipino, pareho and paggamit ng "linya" at "lane". Pero sa akin, magkaiba ang kahulugan at gamit ng mga salitang ito. Sa tingin ko, dapat "lane" na lang ang gamitin para hindi pabago-bago.

To pass the actual written exam for the Professional License, you must correctly answer forty-five (45) out of sixty (60) questions. This is in accordance to Land Transportation and Traffic Code (R.A. 4136) and Batas Pambansa Bilang 398."

My comment: Just 40 questions for non-pro? Only 60 for pro? Why don't they at least just give all 100 of these to both pro and non-pro para magkaalaman talaga?

I agree to this, the 2 second rule even have a formula to have this safe following distance:
Speed kph / 2, and add 10% to the result.

e.g. safe following distance * 80 kph: 80/2 = 40; 40+(0.10*40) = 44 meters.
unless we're Terminators and can calculate while driving, stick to tantyameter.

the Examiner puts emphasis on weather. esp. driving in rain or snow or fog, everyone should automatically reduce speed and maintain a safe following distance.
"Capability of the vehicle" is N/A since a sports car should abide with the local speed limits anyway.
"Capability of the driver" is N/A since drivers should be adept in driving maneuvers (incl. parallel parking *cough2x*) and traffic rules & safety before let loose on our roads.
IMHO.

bad wording. but you are right, we are always making decisions esp. during corrections. we all make mistakes but a driver is good if he handled the situation safely during a correction without impeding the traffic flow.

yes! and if I may add, if you are being overtaken and bordering the speed limit, at least release the gas pedal.
the overtaking vehicle shouldn't exceed the speed limit.

lol. side mirrors! were not horses with tapahoho(s). a safer way of doing this and also applicable in other maneuvers such as overtaking and even turning right (esp. if there's a bike lane (huh, bike lane?!)), is:
1. look at the rear-view mirror
2. look at the side mirror
3. look over your shoulder, the blind side!
(3a. look out for cyclists going straight ahead, or crossing pedestrians if you are turning right.)
4. if the coast is clear, switch on your signal light
5. change lanes/make the turn

professional drivers exam (both theory and practical) should be of a different category. some countries classify this by vehicle weight and number of passengers. e.g., non-Pro license passenger limit is up to 8 max., more than that is a Pro. so don't bring the whole baranggay. *wink*
