Mga sir, I just want to ask kung totoo yung sinabi sa akin ng friend ko na, If I register my new vehicle in a particular month, yun din ang end number ng plate mo. For example, if I regiter it this August, then you'll have 8 as the ending number. Is this true? Kasi baka yung ma-iissue sa akin ay same ending number or same sila sa number coding ng first car namin! TIA!

Not true. Yung oto namin was registered in July, pero 5 ang nakuha naming ending. We just specifically requested sa ahente na ayaw namin ng Monday or Friday coding na plaka.

Yup.. not true.. pwede kang pumili ng ending number

Kung bibili ka ng kotse.. pahanap ka sa agent mo ng ending number na gusto mo..sila bahala magikot sa mga LTO para makakita ng available.

denier13: There is some truth to what your friend said. By default, AFAIK, totoo yun, unless you request (or they ask you) if you have a preferred day kung kelan mo gusto maging coding ang sasakyan mo.

You can request any end number you want and applicable "extra" charges will apply depending on what number you request for. Numbers 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 are premium numbers that you have to pay extra (in the thousand pesos) upon request.

In our experience, we were able to chose rin our ending plates.

Tuesdays (either 3 or 4) same as mine kaya no extra charges.

The extra charges are based on the Toyota dealer I bought our vehicle from four months ago. I dont know if its just the dealer's in-house scam or is this a SOP of corrupt LTO plate handlers. :D

Hehe. I doubt that naman. I know ang mahirap na makuha usually is #8.

I was surprised na may premium pala yung mga Friday coding nos, at least sa Toyota dealer na iyon. I thought most M-F daytime working folks would not want a Friday coding, kasi hindi agad maka-alis ng early Friday evening para sa gimik or uwi sa home town after the work week.

if you don't request any it's a fair deal. unfair kung say August n'yo acquired pos 9 or O ending bibigay sa yo meaning 2 mos pa lang reg ka na.

in 2001, my request (0) was granted without any added cash. napakaliit na hiling sa agent yun considering na brand new ang kukunin n'yo. i tried inquiring sa agent ko that year re special plates. ang may corresponding fees / lagay eh yung triple numbers nasa P10-P15T except triple 5 and 6 medyo mababa. much highter if including letters. btw now that 3 yr registration is required better to request ending no. near the month your vehicle was acquired. sayang din yung ilang months if your not so particular sa ending.

What I do is I ask for the plate release copy then I go straight to the LTO branch where the car is registered. I politely request if they can provide me the numbers I want, regardless of the letters. since the time my dad bought the new cars till now we get the numbers we want. ex. 323, 135, 878, 979 syempre if special numbers 111, 888, 168 and etc may charge.

Feb 06 to Feb 08 ang 3 years Feb 08 to May 08 para mahabol ang yearly renewal every may

Based on conversations I had with a sales agent (for one brand) and a sales manager (for another brand), supposedly new buyers can no longer choose plate endings. These are already randomized. Can anyone confirm?

Yes. Madami na nagsabi niyan. And i think nagrelease na ng memo yung Lto na bawal na nga daw. You have the option to buy the combination na.

adjusting the fees is ok for me. after all, the number does have a say on how much subsequent renewal fees are going to be paid..

Yup, I agree also.
