    over the various administrations,
    the limiting step has always been the rights of way.
    if the edsa revamp is going to have rights of way issues, then i envision delays galore.
    they should iron out all these issues, before turning over the first spade.

    According to this article, no right of way acquisition is on the table. Which is not to say that there won't be delays but just not delays which would involve realignments.

    How will Edsa road be rebuilt? Here are the details

    The article mentioned this interesting piece of information:

    "The specific Edsa section from Pasay City to Guadalupe in Makati City will be given top priority.

    This is also given the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit, which will be held in the country in 2026."

    In 2023, it was announced that the Philippines will host the summit.
