But TBH, I can't blame him. From the get-go, everything was going too fast. The official announcement for the EDSA rehab project only came out in May, and then it was scheduled to begin in less than a month? I've worked on projects that are magnitudes smaller and less complex, yet, it had more elaborate planning and preparation.

And their knee-jerk reaction was evident. Yun lang odd-even, among other congestion mitigation schemes, everyday since the announcement nagbabago yung parameters at ang daming clarifications. It's quite apparent that they're thinking about it as they go along.

I don't claim to be an expert, but at least for a project this big.... 12 months in advance ang notice. Alternate routes are being established. Schedules of when and which segments of EDSA will be worked on. Areas where the odd-even scheme will be implementet (since EDSA will be worked on in segments), etc. Just broad strokes of how things should've been done.
I agree. Take the Guadalupe Bridge rehabilitation. That was announced at least a year before it was to be implemented.

Kawawa yun mga contractors. Yun preparation and mobilization nila for a project this big. Yun mga advance orders ng materials baka nag pirma na ng leases for heavy machineries. Yun mga expedited na hiring ng tao. Ewan ko dapat ituloy na yan.

There's not way around it, traffic talaga habang ginagawa. The more they delay lalong hinde nanaman magagawa.

Mukhang tama nga si dutiti, weak leader

agree. not a fan of delaying the repair... or finding a solution to make the project faster.

Tingin ko matutuloy yan. The timing is ripe para maging 'legacy' ni Prez before his term ends.

Wala eh, they are all playing improv.... no script, no coordination, just playing for the Likes.

1 month lang naman yung hold. I also felt too short yung notice. So baka by January gawin na yan. Baka hindi rin ready pa ang mga gagawa.

Just like the Rehab of Boracay.
A lot of people hated it, loss of jobs , etc, etc, etc.
Look at it now compared to before the rehabilitation.

Multiple contractors according to the grapevine. Not just one. it meant to speed up its construction.
