    my guess,
the various offices concerned, simply refuse to talk to each other...

    Quotes from the article...

Since the project is for “public good,” he said this should “always prevail over private rights.”
    Sounds rather communist

Other measures already in place include removing x-ray machines from train stations and replacing them with K-9 units to shorten queues and improve the flow of passengers.
They should remove those weighing stations for trucks that you see along roads like Marcos Highway. Those cause such a big disruption to the flow of traffic.

Right? People will really start questioning the need for the EDSA rehabilitation.

i still take edsa from time to time, when i can not avoid it.
and the segments i do drive thru seem, for the most part, fine. so i wonder, "exactly what segments need rehabilitation?"

Exactly my question. Why does it have to be done all at the same time? They were already doing reblocking on weekends on certain segments on a schedule previously. Why can't they do that again instead of this great inconvenience. And it seems to be a last minute idea to rehabilitate which leaves them scampering for band-aid solutions to the traffic mess about to unfold.
