Has anyone here gotten a parking ticket from Europe tapos nahabol pa kayo to pay the ticket when you got back to the Phils?

    Here's my situation.

I currently have a rental car registered in the Netherlands. I drove to Germany several weekends ago and got 2 parking tickets in 2 cities (tourista e. hehehe!). My Dutch officemates tell me that it normally takes 1 month for the parking/speeding ticket to arrive at their respective houses whenever they get 1. I would assume since my parking ticket is coming from Germany it would take even longer.

I'm going back to the Phils in about a month. Ano kaya mangyayari sa ticket that I got? The card said something like "Don't get in touch with us, we'll send the ticket via mail." Malamang sa Avis ipapadala yung ticket. Others say that Avis will charge the ticket to the credit card used to pay the rent.

I'm also thinking kung di ko mabayaran, baka may record na ako sa *whatever gov't agency keeps track*. :praning:

Then again, maybe I'm just too paranoid. :P

The parking cards specifically said that they won't entertain any questions about the tickets and that I should wait for them in the mail. Anyway, I won't try to avoid paying them or anything. I guess it'll get billed to the credit card when Avis eventually gets it in the mail.

Avis may charge you for processing fees (or something like that) if you wait for them to pay for you. If i were you, stay out of trouble and just pay them.

Remember, you're not in the Philippines.

This is a sadistic want but I wish we had something like here at home. Walang ligtas sa batas.

Hi. Kung ang car ay from a rental company that means that the ticket will be sent to that rental company but not to the person who rented it. Ngayon it's up to this rental company to chase you and normally they automatically charge it to your credit card or deduct it from your deposit. Unless you gave them wrong details about yourself or you didn't leave your credit card details you may get away with it but if not you definitely have to pay for it.

The best thing is to contact the rental company and inform them about the tickets, this time they would be able to advice you of what to do. Make sure you keep all the correspondents for evidence, should something goes wrong with it. Tickets there are expensive but they normally give you discount (half price) if you pay within 14 days upon receiving the notice, but also depends which country (P10000 in London for a single ticket). If you don't pay within the given deadline, it will double in price and keep increasing as time goes by. After few months with no payment received, you'll be invited by the court for a hearing which will result for a criminal record.

Pag di ka naging disiplinado sa pagsunod sa mga road signs, mamumulubi ka sa pagbabayad ng ticket. Ganito dapat sa Phil.
