So... magpa retrofit na kayo.

It's about time. Those installed on reflector housings really cause a lot of glare which hurts the eyes.

    I don't think its true.

Anyway law enforcement for this is going to be a nightmare. Do you think all the law enforcers would know how to differentiate projectors from reflectors? Well could be, if all of them would be trained or something.

Mga Bro, hindi pa bawal ang HID sa Pinas wala pang Law prohibiting the use of HID lamp on car and vehicles, kze we are using is an old law during Marcos pa (PD). As of now there is a pending bill in congress the use of standard lamp of cars to inlude prohibiting the use of HID. But almost all cars and vehicles of congressman & senators uses HID.

Nabasa ko lang in other forums.

according to an AM radio station a while ago, from the head of police and traffic management " hindi po kasama ang HID and foglamps sa ipinag babawal, ang bawal lang po ay ang RED AND BLUE STROBE LIGHTS and WANG2 siren tone speaker, yung HID and FOGLAMP daw ay accesory at hindi kasama sa huli, kapag may mga nanghuli daw i report daw sa tangapan nila"

ALSO SA MGA USUALLY NAG DRIVE NG GABI please "PRINT THIS" FOR YOUR COPY ,PARA PAG HINULI KAYO IPABASA NIYO LANG ITO SA ENFORCER AT OFF YOU GO

para sure na di mahuli, while in metro manila turn off your foglamps lang, EXCEPT when heavy rain, smog,or fog event happen,at ang huli lang just in case is yung FOGLAMP NA KA LEVEL NG HEADLAMP.

Crack down on motorists misusing fog lamps, LTO tells enforcers
    By JC BELLO RUIZ
    October 23, 2009, 6:56pm

âFog lamps can only be used in high altitude areas like in Baguio and Tagaytay. If you are in at-grade roads like in Metro Manila, you have to switch them off,â

Improper use of fog lamps has a fine of P600, according to Jacobo. The fog lamps could even be confiscated, she added.

According to the LTO, which is the government agency in-charge of enlisting motor vehicles in the Philippines, fog lamps are optional on motor vehicles. If a motorist installs them, they should be used properly to avoid distracting other road users.

Administrative Order No. ACL-2009-018, or the revised administrative order on the new motor vehicle inspection system issued by the LTO last Oct. 13, states that âfog lamps may be lighted only during instances of thick fog, falling snow, heavy rain or similar conditions.â

The LTO rule said front fog lamps may be used as a substitute for passing lamps.

The LTO said âonly two front fog lamps shall be allowed and should emit either white or selective-yellow light.âHowever, in the case of motorcycles, only one fog lamp shall be allowed.â

The front fog lamps, the LTO said, âshall be fitted or installed below the passing lamps and in such a way that no point illuminated by the fog lamps come into contact with any point illuminated by the passing lamps.â

R.A 4136 as amended, the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, Art. IV Section 34

© Headlights. - Every motor vehicle of more than one meter of projected width, while in use on any public highway shall bear two headlights, one on each side, with white or yellowish light visible from the front, which, not later than one-half hour after sunset and until at least one-half four before sunrise and whenever weather conditions so require, shall both be lighted.

Additional lamps and light may be carried, but no red lights shall be visible forward or ahead of the vehicle. Trucks, buses, trailers, and other similar vehicles must carry, while in use on any public highway during night-time, colored riding lights on each of the four corners not more than ten centimeters from the top.

All motor vehicles shall be equipped with devices for varying the intensity of light, and the driver must dim the headlights or tilt the beams downward whenever the vehicle is being operated on well-lighted streets within the limits of cities, municipalities, and thickly populated barrios or districts, or whenever such vehicle meets another vehicle on any public highway.
