Stating apparent problems on a current system and forecasting what could go wrong to a planned one given that the former is happening is now crab mentality for you sir?

You might want to revisit the definition.

Then magkakaproblema nanaman sa printing ng mismong card? Haha.

Really ridiculous why LTO needed to take 2 shots of picture of me, 2 esignatures, and 2 times encoding of my info. I guess 1 for the database/record, and another for the actual printing of the license card. Genius.

Yan ang problema doc. With this measure and how our other two supposedly equal and independent branches of government are subservient to the executive branch, nobody is safe from potential abuse. Having a national ID system is great for many reasons, but if there are no checks and balances, it will surely be weaponized by the executive.

Hope the next supplier will do better. Pero most probably kumita na mga mokong na ito eh in some way. Wala naman siguro nagmonitor actual cards distributed at mukhang overpriced sa quality ng ID.

New bill pushes ‘one ID rule’ for gov’t, and private transactions | Inquirer

Rep. Pablo John Garcia of Cebu’s 3rd district filed House Bill No. 10973 that mandates all offices to require no more than one valid ID from transacting customers.
Garcia said his bill aims to complement Republic Act 11055 which established the Philippine Identification System and the PhilSys ID.

Ano na nga ba requirements for getting a National ID?

I have some employee applicants who can't apply for SSS dahil wala silang ID.

Interesting thread—really important to consider the broader impact of the National ID Law beyond just traffic reforms. The new PhilSys-generated national ID isn’t just a personal identifier; it plays a key role in enhancing public services, including streamlining processes like license renewal and vehicle registration.

Once fully implemented, Filipinos can get national id online via the official portal, and then use its QR-enabled digital id philippines feature to speed up verifications at LTO or MMDA offices. It means less paperwork and faster service when updating or applying for licenses—or even paying fines.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out this guide:
Niational Id Digital - (Philippines) | Download PDF

Would love to see more integration between the National ID and traffic systems going forward.
