Beware!! Kids throwing stones at cars from SCTEX overpass.

ATTENTION SCTEX MNGT. WE WERE JUST HIT on the windshield BY A ROCK THROWN BY 3 kids hanging around the overpass crossing SCTEX after dinalupihan exit. I was told that incidents like this has been happening often and in one incident an infant was killed by a rock that hit the windshield of a passing car. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THIS!?!?! Motoring media friends we should do something about this

This is just like where kids drop rocks on cars at the EDSA underpass at Shaw Intersection. Cops, what are you going to do about this?

My view after a kid threw a rock at us on SCTEX! They say life flashes when you get into an accident. All I thought of was our 3 upcoming events and how I wish I can be at 3 places at once. Hehe. I doubt the SCTEX management would be answerable to this, they could only accost the kids that were throwing those stones. They can't even file a case because they are minors. Just make an insurance claim for it to be fixed but you have to pay your participation.

This is indeed very dangerous and a hazzard to everyone. They should have patrol visibility, those people only stationed themselves beneath the overpass to apprehend over speeding motorists.

Rascals throwing rocks at speeding vehicles is nothing new. It has been a problem on isolated highways like C5 in Metro Manila, or even on major expressways like the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway. But now it's becoming apparent that the problem can happen just about anywhere.

A reader by the name of Adrian Hilario sent us these images with the following message: "We were driving to Dangwa at 3am today, but as we were entering the underpass on Araneta Avenue, somebody threw a rock at us and hit our windshield. Good thing no shards of glass penetrated our eyes. The portion of the windshield that was hit by the rock seemed to have been pulverized at the point of impact."

Wow. It seems there are really countless people who have nothing better to do than inclict harm on others. Let's hope the law-enforcement authorities in the area take action soon. Lives could be at stake here.

As for us ordinary motorists, let us try to avoid driving in the wee hours of the morning.
