All-new 2023 Toyota Prius debuts with sportier look, more power | Autoindustriya

Underpinned by the new second-generation TNGA platform, the all-new Prius gets a lower center of gravity and provision for larger-diameter tires.
the all-new Prius is being offered with the brand's two types of hybrid systems which boast a significant improvement in both performance and efficiency. The plug-in hybrid consists of the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force engine that puts out 223 PS, with an EV driving range about 50% higher than the previous model thanks to the new lithium-ion batteries.

The other hybrid system is a series-parallel type, with either a 1.8-liter or 2.0-liter engine paired to the electric motor. The maximum system output of the 2.0-liter version produces 193 PS – 1.6 times more powerful than the outgoing model. The series-parallel system also comes with the E-Four system, making the all-new Prius tackle low-friction surfaces with confidence.

Toyota PH to launch all new 2025 Prius HEV? | Autoindustriya

We got hold of information that Toyota Motor Philippines has received approval for a vehicle that has a 1798cc engine displacement. When you run the numbers, that exact engine displacement points out to the 2ZR-FXE – the same 1.8-liter Atkinson cycle engine that powers the Corolla Altis and the Corolla Cross. But since the Corolla Altis and Corolla Cross have already received a model update recently, the approval makes more sense for a new model.

But I think, the price point for this would be at luxury level (same as RAV4).
Hopefully they can price it right since it is still a sedan, RAV4 is 2.4M+ so it should be less than 2M.

Rav-4/Camry price is ok if we get better features (like the solar roof)

But if they price it at 2M... I personally will get the Corolla Altis Hybrid -> my expat neighbor has one and it looks really good.

I wonder if it would be the Prime model which is a PHEV.
It would have very few customers if priced over 2M but worth it if its the Prime(PHEV) model.

If indeed priced at 2M, it would mean that this will be the direct competition of Nissan Leaf.
For sure, Nissan would be force to up their game if more Prius units will be sold than Leaf on this price point.
