    Thank you for the info.

We are trying to decide whether to get

    1. Toyota Fortuner 4x2 manual with 2.5 D4D; or,

    2. Isuzu Alterra 4x2 manual; or,

    3. Ford Everest 4x2 manual.

We are having second thoughts with the Toyoya Fortuner because of the reported problems with their 2.5 D4D engines.

With the Isuzu Alterra, we are also having some issues because of our bad experience with the Isuzu Trooper.

With the Ford Everest, we also have some issues regarding quality, fit, and finish like: umbrella type hand-brake lever; fake looking wood panels; and, third row seat withoout headrest.

Although a lot of car owners are of the opinion that the Ford crdi engine is more reliable than the crdi engines of Toyota and Isuzu because Ford uses the Bosch crdi technology while Toyota and Isuzu use the Nippon denso crdi technology, with the latter having some performance issues.

Alin kaya yung pinaka value for money sa tatlong choices sa taas.

    Tenx
tulad ng sabi ko depende na lang sa pag-gamit mo at pag-aalaga sa kanya, all cars has their own wekness, fortuner 4x2 M is the cheapest of them all, when I bought my unit, hindi na ako nag dalawang isip pa, kasi maguguluhan lang ako kung titingnan ko pa yung ibang unit, maganda rin naman ang fortuner sa labas at sa loob, when it comes to performance hindi rin naman nagpapa-huli, max. speed that reach is 160 km/hr., malakas din ang aircon nya, ang sound, althought walang equalizer, maganda naman ang tunog, the best thing is try to look which one you really like, for me, the look of fortuner is the best for the rest.

Please take note na ang pinakalamalapit na dealership dito sa amin ay sa Davao which is 5hrs from Cagayan de Oro at sa Cebu which is an overnight trip by ship. Pero both are reachable within 30mins by plane.

Pa.help po kung saan ako pwede makakuha ng mas mura. Tapos medyo sure na mas mura ang bigay nila na quote. Mahirap din kasi na mgtravel tapos same quote lng pala bigay nila. Thank you!

from Botchi of topgear: "When I said the Fortuner rides firmer, the suspension is firm, occupants tend to find it uncomfortable because they are constantly being rocked to and fro, moving and swaying inside the car due to the firmness of the suspension of the Fortuner. They are experiencing low-frequency modulations or movements inside the car, hence the large movements they experience being inside the car.
The Montero Sport has a softer suspension BUT does not have as much NVH isolation and refinement as compared to the Fortuner. Thus, the harshness or courseness of the road isn't filtered enough and permeates into the cabin. Although occupants might not feel any large movement inside the car unlike the Fortuner which rocks people left and right, the high-frequency vibrations from the road tend to wear out the passengers and make them uncomfortable over a long drive. This gets worse as the road gets rougher and less smooth, like a poorly overlaid asphalt or a concrete road that was rushed to completion resulting on a rippled surface. This is what I mean about the Fortuner being firmer and harder, but the Montero Sport can be harsher because of poor NVH isolation and general lack of refinement compared to the Fortuner."

    TUMPAK!!
ITO yung lagi ko inexplain na di ma-gets ng karamihan .. This is what i really like from FORTUNER. Because of the better NVH, even the sound details of your music coming from car stereo ay clear na clear kahit magaspang ang daan. Even conversations inside the cabin, mas malinaw. Sabi nga ng wife ko bakit MAS hindi ramdam sa fortuner yung takbo na 80 kph to 100 kph sa highway (commonly rough not asphalt) compare sa montero at grand starex. Kase nga sa Very good NVH ng fortuner. Less rattles than monty. Thumbs up for fortuner

We have compared monty & fortuner, both 2010 model, both black color, both 18k mileage, sabay kase halos binili, fortuner runs smoother, but monty rides softer. And take note mas me makalampag na yung monty.

Wala lang po, Just to want to share....hehe

i think this would be the look for the 2012 fortuner
front facia redesign and new side straps ( note: silver lining top of stepboard ), chrome 17" wheels, major redesign for interior dashboard, hopefully new engine VNT

this may be not all new = just a facelift
