With all due respect chief, I'm starting to like the 09 Fortuner but this picture doesn't prove it's lakas or tibay. no offense!

Medyo exaggerated lang talaga yung tagtag ride ng fortuner. Nakasakay na rin ako sa fortuner (2005) and it's reasonable considering the huge tires and the ladder frame chassis.

Hala anong nangyari diyan?!! Hahaha... Kung nakakatakbo pa rin iyan kahit ganyan ang nangyari, eh di matibay nga talaga ang Fortuner. Pero for sure malaki ang damage niyan sa chassis at suspension.

I agree with the Fort not being as matatag as some people say!

People love to talk trash about the Fort (some threads here on Tsikot). Because it's the #1 selling SUV people love to hate on it. Just like when the Ford Expedition was at it's peak, people used to say the drivers were too mayabang and they hogged the roads bla bla bla - now they are saying the same about the Fort. And the common-ness factor - Hello, that is only a GOOD THING! Shows how well it has sold over the years, with an average price tag of P1.4M-P1.7M - so people aren't buying it for the price but instead for the car. If you want an un-common car go get something else, simple!

The Montero fans can boast about an online survey - but since you can vote using multiple email addresses makes it a bit dodgy
Also, since the Montero is the newest & fresher model, owners will be more into their new acquisition than say a 3-4 year old Fort owner, so the Montero owners may find themselves more active on all things about Montero than a Fort owner is about their Fort - debatable, but that's how I see it.

With regards to a new model (non-facelift) Fort, I'd personally like to see more changes to the interior rather than the exterior. Exterior is unmatchable against it's competitors, but the interior looks a tad old - in fact this is where I would commend the Montero for it's interior, looks sharp & sporty.

guys sa tingin ko tatagal ang body design ng fort kasi
masyado syang hit. look at d trooper since 1992 ganyan na yung
body nya at upto now d same body pa rin nagpaplit lang ng grill, mags, hedlight, tail lights but still the body still the same. kaya i think sa
fort ganun din ang mangyayari believe me guys

Welcome to all owners of Toyota Fortuner [ARCHIVED]
