Magaspang na takbo ng FX

My sister complained about the 'magaspang' performance of her FX (1995 Toyota 2C). She had an oil change 2 weeks ago (Delo Gold) where she replaced the oil filter and air filter as well. Then ayun na, hindi na daw suwabe yung tunog nung engine.

I drove the FX myself and I noticed the following:
- engine is noisier
- the 'pull' is the same
- a 'magaspang' acceleration while on 2nd and 3rd gear. Pag-shift ng 2nd (at 3rd), I can feel some grinding underneath (parang sa gears). Parang hesitant tumakbo (alam ko yung feeling na suwabe tumakbo eh, pero itong FX eh hesitant). Also, merong sound na parang 'engine' ugong......pasensiya na mahirap i-explain in writing.

I plan to bring this FX to the mechanic this weekend (na-default ako). I'm hoping that you guys can share your thoughts on what could be the problem (para naman me idea ako when I talk to the mechanic).

Baka may hangin sa fuel intake. Check mo kung may leak sa fuel filter. Iyung konting leak ay di mo makikita unless you use a paper. Itusok mo ang edge ng paper sa mga possible pagmulan ng leak. You will see the paper na mababasa ng fuel kapag may leak.

A small fuel leak will cause air to come in the fuel system while engine is running. This will cause palya or engine vibration.

Mas maganda kaya na palitan na lang yung fuel filter? Not sure kung kelan last napalitan yun eh.

How about gear oil? Pa-check na rin siguro? Where kaya?

Ano pa ba dapat ipa-check? Hindi ko kasi alam service history nitong FX eh.

Anu ano ba dapat ipa-check kapag PMS? AFter oil change, oil filter change, and air filter change, ano pa dapat ang i-check? Meron bang equivalent and timing adjustment (gas engine) sa diesel engine? Meron bang tune up sa diesel?

Tune sa diesel usually tapets lang....but it is also good to have the injectors checked

Bring it to Denso. Also search the threads here regarding Diesel Injectors

stroker_200, check mo sa manual ng FX ang maintenance schedule. Pero ako every 5k km change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, clean air filter.

Every 10k change air filter.

Once a year changel brake fluid, gear oils, water coolant, power steering fluid.

Pero kapag madalas ang baha, mas frequent ang palit ko ng gear oils.

Tama si frt, tappets lang usual adjustment made, bring it to your mechanic.

Kapag naman mausok, poor fuel consumption or low power dalhin mo calibration shop to check on your nozzle tips and injection pump.

saka palit ka na rin gear oil.

hmmmmmmm fan belt baka maingay na rin or napatakan ng langis nung nag change oil ka.
