Hello to Everyone !
I am a first time Innova owner. Luma na eto, 2013 G variant Gas/Automatic transmission. So for my first question: Regards the "Vertical Height Adjustment Knob". Eto yung malaking adjustment knob sa kaliwang gilid nang Driver seat, pinaaakyat niya or pinabababa ang driver seat. Paano ba eto natatanggal ? Natanong ko because yung seat cover cannot be removed unless the knob is removed (gawa nang former owner) !!

Tinignan ko yung knob at 1 ) wala naman parang removable cover sa gitna nito (kung saan may nakatagong retaining screw). 2) mukhang wala din turnilo (lockscrew) sa gilid nang knob kung saan nakakabit sa height adjuster.

So ang maisip ko na lang ay baka dapat pihitin yung knob hangang ayaw na umurong yung seat, tapos tuloy lang pihitin hangang mag loose yung knob na parang naka thread siya na turnilo. Kung ganito nga, anong direksiyon dapat ikutin yung knob ? Ang obvious sa akin ay tuloy lang ikutin in the same direction.

O baka naman mali ang thinking ko ? Baka meroon sa inyo may parts diagram para makita natin kung paano siya naka attach ? Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Thank You ! patrick

Worst case scenario ginupit ko na lang yun tela at string and yanked it out afterwards to free the knob and the seat cover. Ok lang sa akin gupitin dahil it was one of those cheap ass na manipis na seat cover na pinatahi. 1600pesos I think.

Thanks for your reply Babkalakal ! Sayang kasi the cheap seat cover. Kung wala na ibang paraan, i suppose i can just cut and enlarge the hole just enough so it comes on and off. Anyone else ?

that plastic height adjuster knob is held in place by a metal clip, just like the clips that hold many cars' manual door window winders in place. use a flat blade screwdriver (yung medyo malaki, say, 5 mm) to push it out of its seating. it's not difficult.
i haven't tried it, but if you have a pair of thin, very long nose pliers, you might be able to pull the clip out.
be mindful, so's you do not tear into the seat upholstery.
google it, po. "how to remove auto window winder".

btw,
it costs over 700 bucks at the casa, should the knob ever need replacing.
heh heh.

that plastic height adjuster knob is held in place by a metal clip, just like the clips that hold many cars' manual door window winders in place. use a flat blade screwdriver (yung medyo malaki, say, 5 mm) to push it out of its seating. it's not difficult.
i haven't tried it, but if you have a pair of thin, very long nose pliers, you might be able to pull the clip out.
be mindful, so's you do not tear into the seat upholstery.

DR. D- Thanks for the tip ! I will have to first locate the locking clip. I probably have to push the foam in para Makita siya.

SLEEPCARE- Thanks for the reminder ! Ang experience ko kasi sa mga locking clip na ganyan ay made of springmetal sila, so may tendency tumalon at sumuksok kung saan mahirap kunin or hanapin

ask sa auto parts store. they might have some.
the banawe guys probably have some, which they will gladly sell to you at inflated price! heh heh.
or you can make that wire clip. secure some spring-y wire and bend into shape. it need not be swiss watch precision. even the crude ones actually work.
i have done it myself.
