    the Philippine spec Urban Cruiser EV will receive the larger 61.1-kWh battery. Its output has also been indicated at 128 kW or 174 horsepower. Matching that to globally available specs, it’ll have 189 Nm of torque driving the front wheels.
    The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, like its Suzuki twin, is built in Gujarat, India for export to markets, including Europe. Once launched in the Philippine market, it will mark the first time Toyota Motor Philippines will source vehicles from the Indian subcontinent in its 35-year history.

    the eVitara definitely looks better, and cheaper based on south african prices

    but the real question is would you buy a car maker's first ever EV

    Pricing expected to be at 2.135M. Comparable BYD Atto3 is at 1.598M. That's a pretty stiff price for the Toyota badge. BTW the Urban Cruiser is an India designed and manufactured EV so you're not paying the premium for a Japanese product.

    Toyota has also confirmed that each purchase of the all-new Urban Cruiser will come with a 7.4kW wall panel charger and a 3.6kW portable charger.

    It's more than half a million difference once you include the discounts. The Omoda E5 is arguably better than the Atto 3 and it's only at 1.35M these days. You can get a Jaecoo EJ6 for 1.65M and it's got AWD and much more power. The Geely EX5 is 1.65M too but it's much larger and downright luxurious (massage chairs!) compared to the Urban Cruiser.

    You can also go in a different direction and add a couple hundred k for the base Tesla Model Y, which is 2.3M, RWD and much much bigger.
