I'm taking my Hilux to Coron Palawan. There's no Toyota dealer out there so when I go, I want to bring a bunch of extra parts.
Besides oil and fuel filters, what else should I bring?
Maybe a bunch of fuses too. What else?
Thanks.

Consumables like fuel, oil, air filters-pls refer to your user manuel for this. They say the hilux is indestructible so i think you shouldn't worry abt major parts breaking.
What model Hilux? You're leaving the vehicle there? Before sending it, have a general service done already (change all fluids, belts, tensioners, water pump, radiator cap, etc).May as well rustproof and undercoat it before taking it there too. Mostly consumables (filters, brake pads, belts). For major parts you
bring rope.bring extra money.bring air compressor.bring extra apare tire,& water
I'll be moving there to live there. Not just a short trip. There's not a Toyota Dealer there so I'm on my own. My truck is still new. Less than 1,000 kms. It's a 2015. The last of the 7th Gen Hiluxes.
Is there a place to order genuine Toyota parts online for shipping?

My main concern there will be fuel quality and corrosion (if you're near the sea). Given your truck is new, just bring the service consumables good for a year then resupply yearly (bili ka ng maraming Baldwin BT223 oil filter) and perhaps an extra set of brake pads, headlight bulbs, etc. Better to give the Toyota supplies (toyorama, celica, etc.) a call also to see if they can handle orders for shipment later on (when the time comes).

just bring items enough for 1 service...oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air intake filter, brake fuid, coolant, brake pads?... bago naman unit mo, siguro naman after a month or two nakaikot ka na around the vicinity and makakita ka na ng shop na pwede ka magpa service.
what car dealer is there in the area?
that's probably the better brand of vehicle to use there.
have you observed what vehicles abound there? that's probably what you should be using, too.
the logical choice is sometimes not too palatable..
Don't worry too much. Coron is not too far from Puerto Princesa by ferry if your pms time is up

Toyorama = store that sells OEM Toyota parts in Banawe QC.

Thanks. I just saw the Toyota parts thread. It looks like Partstar is the one closest to me.
Do you have any backup vehicle?

Maglagay ka na rin ng mas malakas na busina. Mas useful sa probinsya yan (i.e. 2 sets of FIAMMs). With my previous D4d i replaced the fuel filter every 20,000kms. Mura lang naman yung filter element na OEM.
Your nearest toyota dealer is at puerto princessa, maybe you need also to buy a boat kahit rubberized with 5hp outboard.
Dunno, maybe 3hrs at 30knots, jst giving the TS an option. He could also hire a mechanic from casa if he's into warranty.
I'm still learning here. What's TS?
I'll DIY the scheduled maintenance. I used to do the simple stuff like filter and fluid changes and brake pads/shoes on my previous vehicles naman. I don't mind getting dirty.
I've helped a friend change a timing belt on his Ford and I've gone as far as a torque converter swap on my car with the help of a friend. Pero I like the idea of hiring a Toyota mechanic to come to Coron for anything I'm not willing to tackle. Baka mas mura yon kaysa mag ferry ako to Manila or Puerto Princesa. I think ang roro between Manila and Coron nasa P12,000-15,000 each way.
If you know the basics and are easy with changing pads, filters, suspension parts, clutches, then you'll be okay. I'm sure you might also find a mechanic in the area who can help you out for the heavy work. Your main concern may be the fuel system and turbo so take good care of them. Try to do the necessary safeguards some peeps do like replacing fuel filters or installing a better filtration system (you'll find good reference on the oil/fuel discussion threads), installing an oil catch can on the PCV, blocking the EGR, and maybe even installing a turbo timer if you will have different people driving or you're lazy or forget to cool down the turbo before shutting off. Check mo rin kung may nag-wheel alignment sa Coron.
