September 8th, 2010 08:05 PM #1I just got my new facelifted pearlwhite altis 1.6V yesterday... ahead from the official Philippine launch..
I was just disappointed that although the dealer will not admit it, I think what they gave me was the Showroom unit!
Just sharing my frustration.. I bought the car at almost 1M tapos ganun ganun lang...
seems like sa dami ng sumakay dun e dami ng dumi at pati yung side skirt medyo mauga ng kaunti..
then my seat sa likod kumakalampag ng kaunti..

Any pics ? And what could be the things that made you say that it was really the showroom unit ? Cracks ? Dents ? Garbage in the interior ? What ?

Hehe..

September 8th, 2010 08:23 PM #6kaso paps anung sasabihin,
me: "mga bossing showroom unit ito e"
dealer: "hindi sir, marami po kami units"
me: [kamot]
nakakainis lang yung feeling na ganun.. tipong parang naging taxi na kotse mo sa dami ng sumakay at nagtingin.. nilinis naman.. di lang pulido..
ang nakikita ko nalang way is to break in this thing.. tama diba, iharurot ko sa slex tapos tingnan natin baka lemon ito?

All dealers practices this. Where do you think all those display units go? That's why when in showrooms always take note of identifying characteristics ( conduction sticker#, engine/chassis#, color, variant,etc..) of the units there.
And never buy a vehicle days or even weeks after a motorshow (PIMS, Toyota show, etc...) bec. chances are you are bound to get a showroom vehicle.

September 9th, 2010 12:06 PM #10Does Toyota dealers have a no return, no exchange policy? If they have, ask for a longer warranty period if possible.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
