Good day guys! I bought 2nd hand Toyota Altis 1.6J. Tumatanggap po ba ang casa ng toyota ng mga 2nd hand for PMS?

Yes, though you don't really need to if the warranty has expired... you can do the PMS outside to save money.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Thanks guys for the reply. First time ko lng magka-car and 2nd hand pa. Please enlighten me...you mean mas ok pa mag-PMS sa iba kaysa sa Toyota casa? Other than saving money, ano pa po mga advantages? Can you name some better magpa-check around Makati, Marikina or Antipolo area? Mga magkano po and how much po matitipid compare sa Toyota casa?

    Salamat po ng marami.

Let's say that if you had your car fixed in Toyota Dealer, its a work of quality, and rest assured they fixed the car the best that they could...
comparatively it is just quite expensive to have your car fixed in a casa compared to any outside shop, in terms of Labor... but just an advise, if you need to replace any part, go for the Original replacement part not just any ordinary replacement part. try to remember that it is better to spend enough for the part you purchased, compared to buying an ordinary part, then be sorry in the end...
Have your car be checked by a well-known mechanic, to check on the usage, wear and tear, and any sign of abusive use of the previous owner for you to be able to be alarmed and know what to expect... sir im not scaring you po, pero mas maganda po siguro kung alam nyo na po ang dapat gawin ng mas maaga bago po lumala ang isang gamit...

*ajOT, you're on the same page with me regarding my concern that's why I'm planning for PMS. Any idea how much ang PMS sa Toyota dealer? Could you suggest other shop with comparable or better quality of service?

    Other's inputs are welcome.

    ... and your money.

The Altis I use is still under warranty until July 2010 but i have not taken it to the Toyota CASA after the 10K PMS (my mileage now is 43,000kms).

Change oil, clean air filter and change fuel filter - 5,000kms
Change spark plugs, clean brakes, retorque suspension/underchassis bits, check belts - 10,000kms
Change brake fluid, fuel filter and air filter - 20,000kms
Change PS Fluid, tranny fluid, coolant - 40,000kms

So far the only item i've changed which could have been done under warranty was the brake rotors which warped but i opted to get a replacement set which set me back 3K. I noticed the stock rotors on this model had a tendency to warp since i encountered several units with the same problem thats why i also opted to get a non-OEM set instead.

I just let a suking mechanic do the PMS work under my assistance (semi-DIY actually) or go to Servitek and Petron.
