Welcome all owners of the new [SIZE=4]Toyota Fortuner[/SIZE]!

As I promised in another thread, on the day my unit arrives, I would start this new thread... And, finally that day has come!

This thread is for owners to be able to share observations on their units, as their usage progresses. It is hoped that other owners, as well as prospective owners, will be educated in the intricacies of using and maintaining their new baby.

Over 400 units have already been released since the May 9, 2005 launch. Yet, to date, here is the current list of Tsikoteers who've got their Fortuners:

Initially had a reservation with Pasong Tamo as early as Feb. I was number 1 on the list for a black gas unit and knew the owner. Pero maraming singit (11 gas units apparently). So had to slug it out elsewhere...

wooooohoooo! curiously, before i pulled out, i was told by my agent at toyota pasong tamo that i was no. 1 in the list for the gas unit. however i reserved only last may 15 or before the official launching.

i dont know when you pulled out but if it was after the launching, then niloloko talaga tayo ng dealer na yan kasi then that would make both of us no. 1 in the list. curiously, even if we were both no. 1, naunahan pa rin tayo sa pila

hahahaha. oh well and so the wheels turn. hahahaha

pwede ba akong sumali dito? I'm an ex-future fortuner owner, pulled out my reservation and opted for gen3 pajero because of the long wait hehehe gusto ko sana yung black.

Congrats FORTUNERS!!! If I have the budget, I would also buy Fortuner. Kaya lang hanggang Innova J ang kaya. Enjoy your rides.

Congrats Vicoyski! So far, most of us got silver. I also think silver is most sought after color, because most fortuners I saw on the roads are silver.

People, I've confirmed with my dealership that there indeed is no wheel well cover for the front right wheel. Have any of you done anything as a stop-gap measure to prevent the right foglamp from the sandblasting effect of road debris? :question:

Hindi naman ako nahirapan, mga 1 month and 1 wk waiting, am not expecting it to be that short(?), was expecting mga 2 to 3 months pa. Our company was the one who worked for it and I am the No.1 in the reservation list for the Fortuner 2.7G among those who requested within our company. Luckily I got the unit immediately. No additional cost except that I got a very cheap matting (black?), very cheap seat cover (gray corduroy?), and regular 3M tint as freebies. Am still thinking if I'll replace it pa. Am still studying options. I just upgraded my tint to magic dark and paid addl PhP3,200+ to Toyota.

I have kids so I would need a good car upholstery.
-inquired at Seatmate, they quoted PhP7,500 (automative standard leatherette daw) not sure on durability, aesthetic, and maintenance. EVO quoted 6K+ (german leatherette). still evaluating.
-wanted Kelseat but for practical reasons, baka dapat dumihan ko na lang muna yun existing upholstery, tatanggalin din pala. na-delay pa yun gastos.

For the car matting:
- considering 3M Nomads, pero 1st and 2nd row lang yun.
- asked for quotations from EVO, RL parepareho lang price - di pa ko sure kung 3M Nomad quality nga ba talaga yun -PhP5.5K+ (3 rows)
- thinking of using the mats muna until mabutas ko (which I doubt because when I drive, nakapaa lang ako -but more comfy w/o shoes).
- pag may passenger na, tupi tupi na yun matting sa sobrang nipis, useless

Am happy with the stereo, di ko lang alam kung pano ko kakabitan ng IPOD.

I don't have plans to change any from the exterior because am happy with it.

puro Silver ah... and 2.7g!! pero plagi nakikita ko sa road mga d4d and silver/brown color.
