Squealing noise under the hood

I own a 2008 Yaris 1.5 M/T and so far it's been a wonderful ride.

However, there's this recurring squealing noise whenever I start the car or when I turn on the airconditioning. I believe this is a result of loose drive belts or possibly the defective bearings from the tension wheel/pulley (?) or something.

I'm hesitant to have this fixed by our neighborhood mechanic because it might void the 3-year warranty, for which it is still covered. Also, I want to put OEM parts to the car and I can't seem to find a store selling OEM Toyota parts in my location.

My original plan is to bring the car to the casa. However, I'm also not to confident on driving it 220km to the service center in Butuan City.

Any thoughts on this?

Fanbelt, either A/C, alternator, power steering etc. Have it tightened or replaced depending on the condition of the said part

kaya pa yan sir basta wag mo lang ihataw sasakyan mo. Kung sa aircon yan, you can also opt not to use it muna during cruising speed. mahangin naman.

your belt(s) are probably loose. have them checked and adjusted. you can do it yourself, if you are mechanically inclined. just one or two wrenches, maybe a stout screwdriver, and elbow grease. (do it with the engine still cold, in the morning. it's less painful this way.) but if you are worried of voiding the warranty, you have no choice but to limp over to the casa..
usually, the noise disappears after 1 or 2 minutes of engine running, right? then you can go to the casa.
now, if it's an idler pulley, i recommend replacement. you can lubricate the idler temporarily using spray lubricant so the noise disappears, but it'll just return after 1 or 2 weeks.

kahit 80 kph puwede pa yan. !st time pa lang naman marinig mo yan di ba? So hindi pa siya masyadong maluwang or pudpod.
