toyota vios 1.3e 170kmph

last march 3 this year i was driving along sctex with my inlaws bnw mitsu montero 3.2l dsl. i was going a steady 160-165kmph fastlane i flash my hlightg to a toyota vios for me to pass on.so i did.30 sec later in my rear view mirror the crampy subcompact was on my tail passing in my right and to confirm my father inlaw and i double checked the model 1.3e 2nd gen vios going roughly about 170-175kph...going out of our sight.
i was very amazed becoz we owned a 1st gen 1.3 e and i tried for 150
kph it simply cant. can any one explain how was it possible?

In my observation a Toyota Vios 1.3 e with an Intake , Header, Exhaust modification can reach around 170 to 175 kph depend on the capability of the driver to reach the maximum speed.

a good break in will also do the job.

any subcompact can reach 170 kph if he or she wanted to. A picanto can do 165 kph max. not to boast but the driver was late for work.

that's right kayang kaya yan ng mga compact cars... i already did a 180kph on my brother's vios 1.3j no passengers but with more or less 150 kilos of load at the trunk.. i did that on SLEX mga 11pm from binan to alabang

True. This VIOS is pretty fast. May nakasabay ako sa SCTEX pero di ko nakita kung 1.3 (i have no idea how to tell, they all look the same to me). Ang bilis talaga, nakakabilib. If the '09 Honda City's speedo is accurate, it was running at 180kmh also as we were. 1.3S AT (100hp). Mas mabilis sya umarangkada kesa sa amin.

yung previous version ng VIOS, mabilis din naman though I have never tried driving that. Driving this version, napansin ko lang medyo madali sya sumayad sa humps (parang ang lambot masyado ng shocks nya).
