Need help from you guys, my story goes out like this. I just bought my brand new vios 1.3 E m/t from TQA last december 14, 2009.

Para may magamit lang for the new year I agreed to use it kahit sira ung aircon.

On my way home, after I have gone from sm, nag overheat na ang brand new vios. Di ko na muna binuksan ang hood pinagsabukas ko na lang dahil mainit, the next day as I check it nakita ko na drained na ang coolant reservoir at radiator.

I took a picture and a video of it and called my SA to inform him about the incident, this was last december 31. I have to cancel our trip to Baguio because I cannot use my car, so from january1 to 3 naka park lang ang kotse ko.

On january 4, I went to TQA to show the video and picture later that afternoon a toyota mechanic went to my house to check the unit. While checking he told me there was another problem which is the auxilary fan, then just put tap water and coolant reservoir to start it.

Now I'm totally convinced na I bought a brand new defective car or a "lemon". Ano ba ang cause and effect ng engine overheat ng isang brand new car in the long run? Will this be enough grounds to have my unit be replaced? Thanks in advance.

file a written complaint with the customer relations office sa casa. meron niya sa bawat casa. then demand for a written explanation. and better yet, email head office as well.

you can also post your situation in the vios club of the phil. im sure they can help you. may kilala na sila sa head office dun. post mo nalang.

i'm also driving an '08 vios 1.3. no problem what so ever.

make lemonade and have the dealer replace the car. it is already not to your satisfaction. take them to court or to the cleaners (sue them for how much max you can get), this will teach them a lesson

Brand new cars like Honda Civic, Ford Focus na tumirik, Suzuki Celerio na madaming defects... and now a Toyota Vios..

well, its not the car eh, yung mga dealers talaga ang problem..

if it is an ondoy car, it is fraudulent to sell it as a brand new unit. these pieces are already scrap supposedly in the eyes of the dealership and they are supposed to have been claimed against the insurance. they can sell the ondoy cars at much lower or discounted price. if it can be proved that the car was a flooded car, take legal action (class action suit) against the dealership.

Among the 55 bills passed on third reading during special session
VILLAR LAUDS APPROVAL OF LEMON LAW
Its about time we protect buyers of motor vehicles
As the principal author of Senate Bill 2464 or the Lemon Law of 2007, which was approved on third and final reading on Tuesday, Senate President Manny Villar says its about time for the country to have a more comprehensive law that provides ample protection for buyers of motor vehicles that turn out to be defective. Villar filed his Lemon Bill as early as the 12th Congress.
The law would ensure that car manufacturers or dealers would fulfill the warranties on their vehicles. If a car turned out to be defective or a lemon, the buyer would be able to get a full refund or a replacement, cites Villar, who himself was a victim of Lemon vehicle. Sen. Aquilino Pimentel is co-author of the measure.
A motor vehicle is considered a lemon if it is unfit, unreliable, or unsafe for ordinary use. Under the lemon law, a car is a lemon if during the Lemon Law Rights period the said car: 1) has been subject to repair three or more times, yet the same non-conformity continues to exist; 2) the non-conformity is a serious safety defect and has been subject to repair one or more times; or 3) is out of service due to repair for a cumulative total of 30 calendar days.
Lemon Law Rights period prescribes the time within which a consumer can report any non-conformity or failure to conform to a warranty and a defect or a condition that significantly impairs the use, market value or safety of a motor vehicle. If the non-conformity was not repaired or corrected within the said period, a consumer has the right of 1) replacement or 2) return with refund of full purchase price.
Many Filipinos have been victimized by false warranties and they cannot resort to legal remedies because of the absence of a law addressing their concerns. Now, they will be adequately protected against unfair trade practices, adds Villar.
The bill seeks to promote full protection to the rights of consumers in the sale of motor vehicles against sales and trade practices which are deceptive, unfair, or otherwise inimical to consumers and the public interest. It recognizes that a motor vehicle is a major consumer investment, defines the rights of the buyer and imposes penalties for violations thereof.

actually, we already have 2 toyotas now. an innova and a vios.

also had some problems with our innova before. yung sa window. madaming beses na binalik kaso bumabalik yung problem. kaso naayos naman eventually.

i think the problem now is with the dealership already. kami kasi sa toyota bicutan kami nagpapagawa. its Toyota Motors Phil. owned.

hindi pa natin tunay na "isa sa atin" is MV.. patay ang tunay na mahirap which is us ordinary pinoys..tsk tsk..

papalitan mo na agad ng new unit ang vios mo.. call the attention of DTI and get a lawyer.. papalitan mo na hanggat maaga pa kasi pag tumagal yan hindi na tatangapin ng mga mokong na dealers yan..

nakausap ko agent ko to ask the status of my request to replace a brand new unit. still waiting pa daw para sa report ng service, my SA also told me na nasabi daw sa kanya ng service na malaki sana daw ang chance na palitan ang unit kung nde lang daw sana sumabit ang bumper ko upon pagpasok sa mismong gate ng TQA, so lumalabas na 2nd hand na daw ang unit bcoz of the incident. that time kasi walang available daw na driver ng casa kaya ako nagpasok, at the first place di ko naman dadalhin yung auto dun kung walang problema, but this is not yet the final decision from their top mgt. still have to wait 'til tom do you think this is justifiable mga sir?

di ba meron silang car jockeys na dapat nag drive ng mga oto in and out of the casa? kung wala silang ganon or walang available, di mo kasalanan yon.
