I just got my new facelifted pearlwhite altis 1.6V yesterday... ahead from the official Philippine launch..

I was just disappointed that although the dealer will not admit it, I think what they gave me was the Showroom unit!

Just sharing my frustration.. I bought the car at almost 1M tapos ganun ganun lang...

seems like sa dami ng sumakay dun e dami ng dumi at pati yung side skirt medyo mauga ng kaunti..
then my seat sa likod kumakalampag ng kaunti..

Any pics ? And what could be the things that made you say that it was really the showroom unit ? Cracks ? Dents ? Garbage in the interior ? What ?

Hehe..

    kaso paps anung sasabihin,

me: "mga bossing showroom unit ito e"
dealer: "hindi sir, marami po kami units"
    me: [kamot]

nakakainis lang yung feeling na ganun.. tipong parang naging taxi na kotse mo sa dami ng sumakay at nagtingin.. nilinis naman.. di lang pulido..

ang nakikita ko nalang way is to break in this thing.. tama diba, iharurot ko sa slex tapos tingnan natin baka lemon ito?

All dealers practices this. Where do you think all those display units go? That's why when in showrooms always take note of identifying characteristics ( conduction sticker#, engine/chassis#, color, variant,etc..) of the units there.

And never buy a vehicle days or even weeks after a motorshow (PIMS, Toyota show, etc...) bec. chances are you are bound to get a showroom vehicle.

Does Toyota dealers have a no return, no exchange policy? If they have, ask for a longer warranty period if possible.

dual vvti na ba yung 1.6 engine ng facelifted altis? i think same engine(3ZZ-FE) parin siya which is not a dual vvti. 2.0(3ZR-FE) yata yung dual VVTi.

I guess that is the price on getting a unit ahead of the official Philippine launch. Just think that a display unit is best from the lot, being a display unit. If you have received it and driven it outside of the dealership, there will no longer accept a replacement. You could have insisted on having a different car other than the one given to you. But they would say that you can get it in a month or so. So either you wait for a new unit, or drive the car offered to you and be the one with the newest altis in your neighborhood..

i think the 1.6L engine is still the same as the previous one, but it is now equipped with dual vvti. but the a/t of the 1.6L variants is still 4 speed; for manual tranny fans out there, 6 speed na po sya.

if still the same 1.6 engine as the previous one which is 3ZZ-FE then its not dual vvti. dapat ang engine model niya is 1ZR-FE if dual vvti. any new owner of facelifted altis(1.6) paki confirm po kung 1ZR-FE yung engine po. tnxs.

1ZR-FE is what is stated on the brochure. I have yet to see an actual 1.6li variant.
