    Hi All!

    Been thinking about it for a while now...Nung lumabas ung Corolla (small body), ung earlier model(a.k.a Lea Salonga model) ginawang pang taxi. Nung lumabas ung Altis, ung earlier model ang ginawang taxi(the present taxis we have).

    Ano sa tingin nyo, ung Altis magiging taxi ba? Parang malabo e B)

    May nakausap me tiga toyota, sabi nila hindi daw pede yung vios and altis. Meron nga me friend bumibili ng 200 units para gamitin yung altis pang service sa airport, ang binigay yung maliit na corolla.

    Highly doubt it, although I've seen an Altis that was turned into a rent-a-car in Cagayan de Oro City. It was the entry level 1.6J m/t model that they used.

    most toyota taxis in thailand nowadays are the altis 1.6 m/t.

    They have the 1.6J taxis in Cagayan de Oro nga. Don't they still manufacture the AE111 XL models for fleet use?

    AE111 yung model prior to the present model corolla. naging altis na rin ang model name yung mga huling lumabas.

    1.6 din kaya ung makina nun? Baka dyan sa matalo sa current model (taxi)..kahit de karburador e 1.3L lang e...pero kung ako nasa airport, i'd prefer riding the Lea Corolla or ung Altis, so you can stuff more pasalubong in it. hehehe

    pag ang altis ginawa pang taxi..sira na reputation nila..wala na silang panlaban sa civic..pero makaktipid sila panigurado sa warranty pag naging taxi ang altis..hehehe

    o nga e... i think mas marami ang may gusto gamitin ang mga toyota cars pan taxi dahil mas durable ito....by the way....ever imagine na may taxi ang ford lynx or yung bagong mitsubishi MX ? wala pa akong nakikita a...

    IMHO natakot sa maintenance...i.e. compared to Toyota, medyo mahirap maghanap ng parts; casa ang bagsak mo...aray!

    Ung service cars ng Westin, madami ring Exalta...pero tingin ko baka kinontrata na ung Nissan car services
