Here's an opinion .....

I have a corolla too, 96 model. You can check the Me and My tsikot thread for it. Dressed it up, the clean way of course. Then placed a CHAMBERED muffler as the one of the last mods.

So far, Im happy with it. Doesn't create much noise at idle and at low speeds ( unless you accelerate the heck out of it ) ... the noise is tolerable at 60~70kph. Much quieter than of the freeflow muffler counterparts.

As for the HP gains, I doubt it. Unless you do so much mods on your engine, that little add-on wont be really much helping you in your horsepower addition.

Stay away from SCAV. Noisy, irritating and pointless. You can even lose some HP if you go and have one.

If all you want is more noise ... just cut off your existing muffler.

Of course no guarantees that you will gain any power.
