Saw the videos din, notable changes are dual-vvti previous didn't have this, front projector headlamps for totl, new instrument cluster design with eco-mode, 2nd row 3pt seatbelts with middle headrests, 3rd row 50:50 split fold tumble.

Wonder if the dual-vvti can drastically improve the high fuel consumption of this model.

The old K3VE 1.3 and 3SZVE 1.5 engines didnt feature dual vvti.

And yes more power and torque and better fc. I think this will arrive soon. Sooner than the facelifted Ertiga. Hopefully the price doesnt eclipse 920k on the new top of the line avanza.

The price increase was expected. New models especially toyota always increase their new model prices. The new innova will have a huge price increase hehehe.

The 1.3 will be an awesome choice super low fc even when barely moving along Edsa. Good wading depth with the higher alternator position also. Hehehe

From what I know, it is just the natural progression of VVT, more control sa Valve timing.

for actual advantage ng technology, perfect example siguro yung Vios 1.5 (VVT) vs Altis 1.6

Read some leaked collaterals on this 2016 Avanza, will feature all new engines (1NR-FE, 2NR-FE) with dual vvt-i and not just upgraded engines. Good if true.
