Engines are carryover units, now with the correct power figures.
    132PS for the 1.8 and 109PS for the 1.6.
I guess we can expect advertisements to pop out soon.

At least they will now be advertising the correct power figures. Only problem is for those who don't know about the issue. They might be thinking that Toyota came up with a weaker engine..hehe.

Nagmahal na talaga ang mga sasakyan ngayon..... Grabe!

Hindi ba't nag-appreciate ang Peso vs. the Dollar?.... (Pero nagmahal ang langis....)....

Mods,- paki-merge na lang ang dalawang parehong threads about the new Altis. TIA.

I wonder how will they match this up with the Civic. sabi nila dati against Civic SiR, "Power is not enough to be called Sir".

I think TMP should offer the black mesh grill, at least as an accessory.

The black mesh grill is used by the USDM Corolla and Taiwan market Altis Z.

This grill makes the new Corolla look younger...

why did toyota retained the cheap live axle rear suspension?

ang hina pa ng mga engines. honda civics are way better.

Are you sure the engines are carried over? In Australia, there's a new 1.8-liter engine, 1ZR-FE, producing 134 hp but has a slightly higher redline at 6400 RPM. Manual gearbox is a new 6-speed, but the auto, unfortunately, has to soldier on with a dated 4-speed, a big turn-off in an era of 5-speed autos or CVTs. Europe also has a new 1.6-liter motor, 3ZR-FE I think, doing 124 hp.

Styling and driving dynamics are still bland, but the dash is much better and is noticeably more economical, at least 1 km/liter better.

pound for pound, parang mas sulit yung price ng honda civic, remember 1.8 against 1.6 for almost the same price........and yung back light ng new altis quite disappointing.... ATTN: Toyota, better lower your price or baka maiwan kayo ng benta.....for the top of the line altis, add a few hundred thousand Camry na! di ba

May pag-asa na mitsu nito. Ang pangit ng "new?" Corolla kasi. Kahit delay sila, mas sulit naman kung icocompare sa Toyota.

Sana lang, competitive yung price nila (patay ang mga kakompetensya nila). Yung pangalan lang kasi ang mahal eh (halos parepareho lang yung design nila kasi).

I feel na makakabawi na ang mitsu this year sales-wise.
