due out in 2005, the face of the gen2 toyota tundra with rumored available 5.7L v8. watch out ford f-150,chevy silverado, dodge ram and nissan titan.

the picture could also be the face of the next-gen sequoia and a sequoia-based lexus SUV.

Parang pareho sila ng wheels nung 2k5 Nissan Frontier sa kabilang thread. hehehehe.

Siguro irerefine pa ang overall look before production. It looks too much like a concept as it is.

seems like Toyota's learned their lesson with the too-small T100 and "still-too-small" Tundra... this FTX concept truck looks bigger than any of the other full-sizers! it's powered by a big V8 and an electric motor (similar to the Prius' configuration)... astig!

toyota is building a new factory in san antonio,tx for the upcoming tundra, sequoia and sequoia-based SUV. looks like nissan and toyota are up to challenging the big 3's hometurf: fullsize trucks and SUV's.

    it's seh-kwo-yah...like the tree.

the truck seems to be targeted towards the american full size truck market (big loads, v8 power) - let's see if it can take share away from the unquestioned leaders...chevy and ford.

many american truck buyers are more loyal to their auto brands than they are to their wives

i have friends who will kill for their ford or chevy trucks, one told me he will only drive a non-ford truck in another life. will the jap automakers who now rule the american car market be able to do the same to the truck market in the future? that remains to be seen. toyota, though, sold approx. 100,000 sequoias last year. not bad, considering without this SUV, toyota loyalists would have gone to ford or GM for fullsize SUV's(the landcruiser is way too expensive compared to the expy and tahoe, and has less room and cargo space).
isn't sequoia pronounced as se-koh"ya?it's named after those giant trees in the sequoia nat'l forest, california.
