Tokyo's daily Asahi Shimbun reported that Toyota in on track to become the world's biggest automaker in 2008 with the intent to make 9.7 million vehicles globally, overtaking General Motors (did toyota overtake Ford already?).
in 2006, Toyota is forecasting to produce 8.6 million vehicles globally. Last year, toyota produced 7.54 million vehicles while GM made 8.99 million.
GM,Ford and Chrysler have always been on top, the thought of America being no.2 pretty soon in the automaking business is really hard to swallow for those who live in the USA......oh man,the shuddering thoughts....
